Sanyo DS32920 Blue Screen

The screen on my 32' Sanyo television sometimes goes blue, while not affecting the sound of the show or video Im watching. The picture sometimes comes back in, sometimes not. I can hear all of the shows, but the picture is hidden under this blue screen. Any suggestions?

Go into to on-screen setup and turn "Video Noise Muting" off. It sounds like you are tuning into a noisy signal so the TV 'thinks' that there isn't anything on the current channel and makes the screen blue. Also, try to get video input from Composite/S-Video. - Video Noise Muting also 'blues' a noisy composite/S-Video signal.

SOURCE: sanyo television

That set is probably not ready for the dump yet. The buzzing sound could be the power supply going into shutdown because of a shorted secondary supply, usually a shorted horizontal output. A good tech should be able to fix that at a reasonable price.

SOURCE: Sanyo HT32744 Picture mostly green and blue

On mine I took the rear cabinet off, unseated the card mounted on the picture tube, applied a little dielectric grease on the connector on the card and reseated the card, removed, re-greased and reattached the card. I have had no problem with either my or mom's which I did the same to since! This is an easy fix that anyone can do. The hardest part is moving the TV and reassembling the rear cabinet. Do not pull the cabinet back out more than you have to, to ease the reassembly of it.

switch it off for 10 seconds .. then press button TV/AV
its probably due to power fluctuation ..

Hi gud noon.just want some advice i have a problem with our tv sanyo flat screen if we try to turn it on it only appears blue screen theres no picture....thats our problem... we try to call already the...

  1. Try changing the input on the TV to see if the Blue screen goes away. Can you access the TV menu on the screen? If so, try running a channel scan until it is complete. Then check if the blue screen is still there.
  2. Disconnect any RCA cables, or other input cables from the back and see if you still have a blue screen.

32 in ILO tv, goes blank

Usually the blue screen is an indication that the video signal to the TV is not present. Most of the new TV's have a video input selection button on the TV and on the remote; try changing the video input selection.
