I've tried to follow instructions on Pg.9 but when the display has the following Delete Entry, there's not button to push or Arrow, I press Clear (for Delete) and nothing happens. It is very frustrating. I've also followed pg.11 for chain dialing. Nothing works from the manual.

The instructions I provided were for the DECT1363 since that was where you posted your original question. Apparently you have some other phone? Would you care to tell us exactly which phone?

  • pforbes481 Aug 26, 2011

Please read my previous responses - again I'v had a few responses from you and I have replied and again state my problems. Again - When I follow instructions on Pg. there is no delete button (I use Clear. Then when I Menu Select, it says store in PH or delete, again I press Clear. What am I supposed to do. It is very very frustrating. I do not wish to pay $12 CAD or $30 CAD for a $20 phone purchase. Please help.

  • kakima Aug 26, 2011

What happens if, instead of pressing the CLEAR button, you press the MENU/SELECT button?

  • pforbes481 Aug 27, 2011

Thanks, I think the MENU/SELECT button as you suggested works! Thanks again.

  • pforbes481 Aug 27, 2011

Thanks for fixing the problem with CID, now please suggest how I store phone numbers for speed-dialing (chaindialing). I cannot follow the instructions of Pg.11 for this feature.

  • kakima Aug 29, 2011

Do you want speed-dialing or chain-dialing? The two are not the same thing. BTW, the use of the MENU/SELECT in my previous comment was not my suggestion, it's what the manual says.

  • pforbes481 Aug 29, 2011

No, I don't think the manual was helpful in solving the CID deletes. Another friend tried to follow the instructions and found the same frustration. Anyway, the chain-dailing feature is what's in the manual, but what I mean is a version of speed-dialing. You were very helpful and you did help with the CID problem. However, I will try for the 5th time in understanding the instructions for chain-dialing (speed-dialing?)...Wish me some tech wisdom in this endeavour!

If you just want to dial a number in the phonebook, press up/down to find the entry you want then press TALK/FLASH. Look at page 10 in the manual, under "Using the Phonebook".

May someone please send the service mode specifications for a Samsung LED 40 inch TV UA40EH5000R?

I don't have service mode specifications but I do have a Samsung and looked around for how to get it in service mode some time ago because the HDMI cables somehow disconnected themselves a lot. Thought it was an electronic problem but it turned out to be a parenting problem instead SO I have never used this information and can not vouch for it. I cut and paste it from a note I copied from a forum entry to use at your discretion:
First post:
To enter "Service Mode" Press the remote - control keys in this sequence :
From Standby Info-Menu-Mute-Power On
- The buttons are active in the service mode.
Remote - Control Key : Power, Arrow Up, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Menu, Enter, Number Key(0~9)
Careful though there are things you shouldn't touch in this menu.

avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/601553-samsung-service-menu-research.html

Another post:
Method 1
Put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu.
Method 2
Turn the power off. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.
Method 3
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 4
With the TV in standby, press the {SLEEP} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 5
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 6
With the TV in standby. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 1, 9, Enter in sequence.
Samsung LCD Monitor Service Menu Instructions

End quote.
Good luck. Just a basic suggestion you probably don't need: keep track of any changes made by writing them down so you can put it all back if you have to.

Rcr311b remote won't code to Sansui tv

Try a code search method.
Code Search
If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

IDENTIFYING CODES FOUND USING THE SEARCH PROCEDURE
  1. Press and hold the SETUP until the LED indicator lights steadily. Release Setup button.
  2. Press the mode button that matches the equipment you want to identify. The LED blinks once.
  3. Press and release SETUP. The LED blinks once.
  4. To find the first digit, press each number button from 0 to 9 until the LED blinks. The number you pressed is the first digit of the code.
  5. Press each number button from 0 to 9 again as above to find the second digit.
  6. Press each number button from 0 to 9 again as above to find the third digit.
  7. Press each number button in turn to find the fourth digit. When the fourth digit has been found, the LED goes out

How do I make the phone ring/ Also how do I delete number's/

Activating Personal Ring
You can assign special ringer tones to anyone in your phonebook. When your phone gets a call, it looks up the Caller ID information in your phonebook. If you've assigned a personal ringer to that number, the phone uses it so you know who is calling. To turn the personal ringing on or off, follow these steps:
  1. Press [Menu/Select]. Select the HANDSET SETUP menu, and then the PERSONAL RING submenu.
  2. Move the cursor to select ON or OFF.
  3. Press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Selecting a Ring Tone (Handset only)
You may choose from four melodies or three tones for your phone's primary ring tone. Each handset can use a different ring tone or melody. The available ring tones are as listed:
  1. Press [Menu/Select]. Select the HANDSET SETUP menu, and then the RINGER TONES submenu.
  2. Move the cursor to select a ring tone. As each ring tone is highlighted, you will hear a sample.
  3. When you hear the tone you want to use, press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Adjusting the Speaker Volume
Handset Speakerphone: You can choose from six volume levels for the handset speakerphone. To adjust the speaker volume while on a speakerphone call, press the UP Arrow button (to make it louder) or the Down Arrow button (to make it softer).
Base Speaker: You can choose from ten volume levels for the base speaker. To adjust the speaker volume while call screening or playing messages, press [volume +] (to make it louder) or [volume -] (to make it softer).

Adjusting the Audio Tone
If you aren't satisfied with the audio quality of your phone, you can adjust the Audio Tone of the earpiece while on a call. Your phone gives you three audio tone options: low, natural and high; the default setting, Natural Tone, is recommended for hearing aid users. Audio tone adjustments only apply to the earpiece, not the speakerphone.
To adjust the audio tone:
  1. While on a call, press [Menu/Select].
  2. Move the cursor to select AUDIO TONE, and then press [Menu/Select].
  3. Move the cursor to select desired option (HIGH TONE, NATURAL TONE, or LOW TONE), and then press [Menu/Select]. Selected option appears in the display for two seconds, and then the display returns to normal.
Deleting Phonebook Entries
You can delete a single phonebook entry at a time or all phonebook entries at once:
To delete a single phonebook entry:
  1. When the phone is in standby, press the phonebook key.
  2. Find the entry that you want to delete and press [Menu/Select].
  3. Select DELETE. DELETE ENTRY? appears in the display.
  4. Move the cursor to select YES.
  5. Press [Menu/Select]. You will hear a confirmation tone, and DELETED! appears in the display.
Deleting Caller ID Numbers
  1. To delete only one Caller ID number, press the Caller ID button when the phone is in standby, and then find the number you want to delete.
  2. Press [Menu/Select] and select DELETE ENTRY.
  3. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES.
  1. To delete all the Caller ID numbers, press the Caller ID button when the phone is in standby, and then press [Menu/Select].
  2. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES.
Note: When you delete a Caller ID number, you delete it permanently.

Deleting a Redial Record
If you want to delete a phone number from the handset's redial list, follow the steps below:
  1. When the phone is in standby, press [Redial/Pause].
  2. Use the UP Arrow button and the Down Arrow button to scroll through the redial list.
  3. When you find the redial number you want to delete, press [Menu/Select] and select DELETE ENTRY.
  4. When the phone asks you to confirm, select YES. The redial number is deleted.
Resetting the Voice Message Waiting Indicator
  1. When you receive a new voice mail message, the new message LED on the top of the handset flashes and VM appears in the handset display.
  2. In the event your message alert tone gets out of sync with your phone company's voice messaging system, you can reset back to its original "no messages waiting" state.
  3. To reset, press and hold [find hs] on the base for five seconds.
  4. A beep sounds and the message alert tone is reset.
