Noisy fan stops when I open my freezer

Some refrigerators control the freezer fan by turning it off when the door is open to minimize cold air loss. This is likely normal for your model (check wiring diagram to ascertain this.) The freezer fan is the noisiest component on a refrigerator so the noise might be typical of your model. If it is excessively noisy (it's louder now than it used to be) then it will probably be one of the following: 1) bad fan motor bearings and the motor should be replaced, 2) loose or broken fan blade and should be replaced, or 3) frost/ice buildup on the evaporator (cooling) coil that the fan blade hits and the cause of the frost /ice should be corrected (likely a defrost problem.)

Maytag noisy fridge fan. it's still cooling, but have to turn up cooling temp.

The bearings in the fan are prob going bad and the fan needs to be replaced, or there may be ice built up around the fan and its slowing the fan down. More than likely a fan that needs replaced. are you able to replace it yourself you think? lmk if u think you can, and provide the full model number. should be like 106.####### or 795.####### or something.

Chirping sound for about 10 to 15 seconds each time the motor kicks on. Chirping seems to be increasing.

hello,
Is the chirping sound coming from freezer fan,the fan by the compressor,or is it from the compressor itself.
If it is from one of the two fan motors and not the compressor the bearing on the fan motor is noisy and that fan motor needs to be replaced
if it's from the actual compressor the compressor would need to replaced and that would be very costly while either of the two fans isnt to expensive
reply with which fan is noisy and i will tell you how to replace that by yourself

Why is the fan so noisy?

If the fan is noisy, then it is probably due to worn bearings, or possibly worn or loose fan blade/s
In my experience it it is usually due to worn bearings.
The only guaranteed cur is to replace the fan motor.

Freezer fan is very noisy

What knid of a noise is it making. A high pitched squeal tells me the bearings in the motor are bad and you need to replace the fan motor obtainable through a dealer. If the noise is more of a grinding noise it could be a simple mater of the fan blade hitting some ice build-up. Defrosting the area of the fan motor with a hair dryer will melt the ice.
