I can't play a DVD imported from the other country. I have this mini component, Samsung Max-DC950, and during I attempted to play that DVD, it generates an error about REGION CODE. This mini component has been bought from Kuwait.
Thanks Mrvica for that answer. Really appreciate it. Unfortunately, there is no such option in the MENU, using the remote control, as REGION CODE wherein I can select any country to deal with the region code error issue. Is there any approach we can deal with?
Your consideration is highly appreciated.

Hi,I have a samsung micro component system MM-DG35 and have lost the speaker wires with plugs that plug into back of unit. Any ideas where I can get new ones? Thankyou
Hi, You need to go in menu or setup and select Region code. It's not matter where you bought your player. Select your country and it will work just fine. Good luck.

Initially I thought the problem was going to be no composite input on this television. However according to the specs there is one composite (yellow, white, red) input and that is where you connect the wii. Is the problem that you've already connected something to the one input and you're looking for another spot to connect the wii? There is a wii component cable http://www.amazon.com/Official-Wii-Component-Video-Cable-Nintendo/dp/B000JJRV90
An RGB port is for a component cable not a VGA cable. A VGA cable, similar to a component cable, only carries a video signal but is a 15 pin cable that nearly all monitors and HDTVs support. Most laptops have a VGA out port. You should be able to connect your laptop to almost any monitor (not sure about your Samsung) with a male to male VGA cable.
Hi, Possible problem for system shutting down is when the sound IC on the system is getting weak and can't power the system volume up to the max volume range, itshuts down. It's Protecting the system form getting damaged by always shutting down. You will need to replace the Sound IC with another one for i to power up the system to it maximum volume range.

Hey, I had this problem on Thanksgiving Day, trying to watch a dvd on my mother's HDTV. You should be able to hook up most standard dvd players to hdtvs. First you have 3 cords, mine were red, yellow, and white. The connections go as follows:
HDTV: Audio| Component. The white cord should be in a white audio slot. The yellow cord should be in a yellow component slot (video) and the red cord should be in a red video component slot labeled Pr/Cr. Make sure you match the component numbers. For instance, if you want to use component one, then hook all of the cords into the slots for component one. Most hdtvs have multiple component hookups ( think multiple "channels" for your game system, dvd player, etc) so it's important that the corresponding cords go to the correct component slots.
DVD: Match the yellow and white cords to the appropriately colored slots. The red cord should go into the slot labeled component video out Cr/Pr. Not the red audio out. This worked for me. Hope this helps.
The cam corder should come with CD's for installing. For example: My Mini DVDS would do the same thing. I installed the cds with the camcorder and theres a tool on there that lets me import the media from the Mini DVD.
