in a year betray life should not be dead like this it sounds your betray needs recalibration go to my profile and read the tips i have written for calibration of betray it will definitely increase betray life and time

check if betray inserted properly and have some charge in it connect power cord and check if charger works properly and charging the betray if problem in betray then try to remove betray and connect power if it on then simply replace betray with new one and if it wont on then check if there is any problem in power button if nothing then please go to any repair center if it need to be open and repairing

Although its rare problem but can be fixed
Remove back cover and remove betray take some thing sharp and rub the golden gates to remove any sort or carbon once its cleared put betray again and switch your cell on. If will help solve your shut off problem

to see if there is a center number well it kinda depens on what fone u have go in the menu and go under messagin setting and it shud say txt messaging and then senter address there shud be on there but idk what kinda fone u have so it mite not worke for u so :( srry
