Hi,
It depends on what type of data that is, there are files that can be read by a certain program such as .pdf file it can be read by adobe acrobat.
what is the file type you will need to find that out first to be able to determine what program to use to be able to read the file.
to find out the file type you can right click on the file then select properties check what is the file type then, you can google and search for a program that opens the file from your watch.
also if you watch has a disc that came with it possible that it may have a program that can help you read the file from it.
you menyioned it is in a USB stick try putting the file on your desktop see if it can be read by adobe reader, or right click on the file and select "open with" this will give you the option to select a program to read the file, try using notepad see if it will open in notepad most files will open in notepad if not then try opening the file with adobe or word.

What do I need to do to transfer data from my proscan tablet to a usb stick?

It's better to use a SD card and transfer your files to a computer/laptop. From the computer/laptop you can put your files on your flash memory USB stick.

Bluetooth

fConnecting a Bluetooth device (Select models only)If your computer has an integrated Bluetooth adapter card, it can connect to and transfer data wirelessly to other Bluetooth enabled devices, such as notebook computers, PDAs and cell phones. You can transfer data between these devices without cables and up to 10 meters range in open space.Enabling Bluetooth communications on your computer1Slide the integrated wireless device switch from the button .2Press Fn + F5 to make configuration.Note: When using a high power consumption USB device such as USB ODD, use the external device's power adapter. Otherwise, the device may not be recognized, and system shut down may result.Note:The actual maximum range may vary due to interference and transmission barriers. To get the best possible connection speed, place the device as near your computer as possible.Notes:•When you do not need to use the Bluetooth function, turn it off to save battery power.•You need to pair the Bluetooth enabled device with your computer before you can transfer data between them. Read the documentation supplied with the Bluetooth enabled device for details on how to pair the device with your computer

I have a dsc-w150 digital camera, no usb cord. how can i transfer my pictures to laptop?

You'll need a card reader to transfer the data to your PC.
These days most laptops and printer has built in card reader. But since Sony camera's use memory stick, some of them don't support memory stick. So,
  • First check whether or not your printer or laptop has memory stick support, if has then use it to transfer you images. Otherwise you've to purchase a memory card reader with memory stick read support[should be available on any nearby electronic shop].
  • Then remove your memory stick from your camera and connect it with your laptop.
  • Open the memory card and copy your images.

My MacBook Pro no longer reads this portable hard drive. I have tried to plug it into a different MacBook Pro and the hard drive mounted onto the this laptop. I tried to transfer the files to a different...

at this point it sounds as though the drive itself is corrupted It is very difficult to try to get the data off once this happens and so there are data recovery places which charge into the thousands to do this.

How you transfer data from laptop to desktop? Is there any utility available?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You can connect the Laptop with your Desktop using USB cable or Memory Stick and transfer the data. You can also write the data on a CD and then transfer it to desktop.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

What dose the red light mean on the usb stick

it depends on what stick you have, usually you have 2 lights, one will stay on constantly indicating power, the other will be data transfer (this will flash wildly whenever data is read or written), good luck

USB Port speed is not stable

The speed at which data is transferred via USB 2.0 all comes down to what the read/write speed of the device you are sending the data to/from is.

USB 2.0 sends data at 480mbps but you will need a storage device that can read/write at 480mbps to get that speed.
If your device can only read/write at lets say 200mbps than that’s the transfer speed that will be used.

The read/write speed of memory sticks and external hard drives very a lot and this is what will be causing your speed differences.

Hope this helps,

Pen Drive 16GB not working on laptop but working on other PCs...

It sounds as though the problem is with your notebook, rather than the flash drive. Specifically, with the USB port you are plugging it into. If you have another USB on the notebook, try switching between the two, and see if it behaves any differently. Another thing that can cause a problem is if the USB port on your notebook is not USB 2.0. The older ports (as in, an older computer) didn't have nearly the transfer speeds of the newer standard.

Also, are you trying to run multiple USB devices on your notebook at once? That could cause problems as well.

Cheers

MacBook USB Problem

It really depends on the age and make of the usb memory stick.
As you are on a new mac it is more than likely usb 2.

Most sticks are formatted for PC usage. Macs can read PC formatted stick but PC cannot read mac. That could slow the mounting time down.

The only thing I can suggest is, if you do not need the stick to transfer data to a PC try reformatting it with the apple disk utility. If that does not sort your problem out it is more than likely a faulty stick. They are quite cheap thees days so you could simply replace it.
