Sanyo pro xtrax multiverse projector PLC-xp51L does not start anymore. No lights & buttons are working on this device, we have replaced the fuse already, but before I replace the lamp I want to know if there's a way to start this thing. If the lamp would be broken I would expect there's a light telling me this. but there's nothing.

Did you remember to set up display properties. And switch Display.?

VGA to HDMI cables don't work. They're a con. VGA is an analogue signal. HDMI is digital. It's not possible to convert from one to the other with just a bit of wire.

1,Turn the projector on,press the Menu botton
2,Press the Left ,Right,Up or Down to find the "lamp usage" and the reset option.
3,select "Lamp replacement counter Reset ?"
4,select "Yes"

All you need is in the manual.If you dont have a manual ,
check their website and do a search on your model number.

go into the menu and reset the settings to factory default.

remove the screw on the door on the bottom of the projector for the lamp and pull out the old bulb and replace

broken lamp?? check for little cracks in the bulb bar.
If lamp is discoloured( dark grey), overheating is cause, no cooling after using the PJ.

If you have the know how open up the machine and replace the fuse on the Powersupply board ( where the AC socket sits in )

If this still occurs , I'm afraid you will have to replace the Powersupply board.
