Hii can't get my Siemens A160 to work..the word base keeps flashing on the screen..can you help me with this problem please.

My Siemens Gigaset AS15 Cordless Phone is constantly calling the same number, no matter which number I dial! What shuld I do?

1. I forgot the PIN number on my Gigaset 2XXX system base station. What can I do?
   Please complete the following steps to reset the system PIN on 2XXX back to 0000. On the system base station:
   

• Press MENU.
  
• Scroll to SYSTEM SETTINGS but do not press SELECT.
• On the keypad, enter *65# (Star, 6, 5, Pound).
• It will display "SYSTEM PIN RESET" and return to the idle screen.
• Note: The base station system PIN will be reset to 0000

   Please complete the following steps to reset the cordless handset PIN on the 2XXX back to 0000.

• Scroll to CHANGE PIN and press SELECT.

i couldnt find a link to your owners manual, but, if you go into the menu in your phone and scroll down to "register handset" that should work

Read the manual, page 2.

Did you check to see if the battery leaked? I had a similar experience and it was because one of the batteries had leaked. This might also explain why the keys are stuck.

Then the base is bad. I have 1 base like that also... nothing can be done other than send it out to be rebuilt.

Try this:
Pick a handheld, press Menu - H/set settings - Reg Handset - Select Base 1, enter 0000 as password. Now on the bottom of the base station press and hold the Register button in for about 10 seconds or until the h/set beeps.
