My Sony VGC-RB34G is suddenly showing nothing on monitor except a sign "Check Signal Cable". I have cleaned and put back RAM tight. The fan works, I hear beeps when computer starts but no pic. I have changed the monitor cable but still same message. Any clue?

The computer should beep ONCE when starting-up.
More than one BEEP implies either that the video-card is not responding, or that it is not fully "seated" in its slot, or that the video-cable is not tightly connected.

Try a different video-card in your desktop.

The Beep occurs only once just like before. The video card seems screwed on to the wall and not seated on slot like RAM. Is this the same area where you hook up monitor cable? Thx

It seems that the video-adapter is "integrated" into the motherboard, rather than being a separate "add-in" video-card that fits into a slot.

So, add a different video-card into the computer, and connect the video-cable to that video-card, instead of connecting it to the "built-in" video-adapter.

Where is the vga connection on the vgc-rb34g

I am afraid to say that the Xbox does not have a VGA out connection on it. You would need a monitor with a component input or HDMI. Hope this helps :o)

Can't open DVD writer and Dvd Rom drive Sony Vaio VGC-RB 34G

There should be a very small hole on the front of the dvd plate. Push a small paper clip straight in. This should release the drive.

VGC-RB50 Display Problem

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that the MB or the processor just took a dive on you. Most likely the processor... as you are able to power up. If it were the memory or the video card, you would hear a series of beeps when trying to start the computer. And you already verified the monitor is fine.
