If it's greyed out, there is no data to reset, and it's not that causing the issue. ... wentall wonky, swipe for charms wont work, can select anything ... I tried the hard reset and low and behold my touchscreen started working again.

1. turn off computer, wait 15 secs and then re-boot
2. Check for and install any Windows updates
3. Configure the touch display to identify your screen as a touch screen.
4. Search for and then select Tablet PC Settings from the results list.
This will vary with your model and Windows version. You are looking for SetUp of your touchscreen and Settings

The display usually stops working if the water tank is overfilled. Sometimes just letting the display dry will fix the display. However other times if shorts out the display board and will not work. Then it is time for a new unit.

There is no way. My touchscreen has stopped working several times and everytime fixes itself after a few hours. DO NOT let this phone ANYWHERE near moisture or water, the touch screen is very sensitive.

You may be able to go the TomTom website and download the last update programming. If the problem is software this should fix it.

Some where else in this site it said to hold the menu and map button while powering it on. I did that and it fixed my touchscreen problem, however I did loose all data, but I have that saved on my PC.
