Generator is full of oil but keeps shutting off and indicator light shows low oil

hello, try disconnecting the wires for the switch. Start the unit, does it run without the switch? If so, I would replace the switch. do not run the unit without a new switch. If you take it to a local auto parts store, they can substitute a switch.

5875 generac starts running when switched to auto , Utility is hot .. using nexus smart sw.

Check the N1 N2 fuses in transfer switch one or both of them are probably blown. N1 N2 fuses have the yellow wires on them if they are blown the generator thinks there is no utility power and will start There needs to be 220 volt on them .

Generac 20kw - new battery dead, twice. is there a problem?

if this is a standby unit. there is a charger built into the control box. check the fuses. if it still blows the d\fuse you can install a float type charger available from most auto parts stores. make sure there is power comming in from the bldg breaker box.

Generac 4456 does not start on power loss

I install and work on these everyday. If you hooked up the transfer switch you probable have a control wire wrong. check the utility power sense wire. That lets it no when to start in auto. it could be a relay or fuses. or a control board.

16 KW guardian generator

My answer:

Your Genset is made by GENERAC same as my personal 5500W home unit is. Great service and great Genset!!

I never had any problems with mine other then the Poly gas tank valve stem gasket leaked from day 1, and they replaced it no bones 100% FREE upon request. I also requested both a Service manual and an Operators Manual and they sent me both FREE of charge as well. (I had no manuals with mine either, as I bought my Genset brand new at a garage sale for $300 - great deal)

Just make sure when you call them (as with anyone seeking operator/setup manuals - that you tell them they got LOST in a recent move!) It helps - otherwise they (any company) might ask for a charge for them. Getting pretty bad out there everywhere thanks to you know who!

Call the GENERAC toll free # below anyway - regardless what it says below about the GUARDIAN brand and where to get service. You want the Install / Service manuals only.
