My logitech mouse scrolls on it's own all the time. Didn't used to do that until a few weeks ago. Very frustrating to wheel scroll through something and the mouse keeps putting the page some place else. The mouse is probably just over a year old. I hate to have to buy a mouse again so soon. They don't make things like they used to!

SOURCE: Auto Scroll Stops working

Hello,

Would you be willing to try this solution although it alone may not immediately solve your problem?

Once you attempt this and let me know what results you have, I can then move to the next most likely place to examine.

You see, the problem is that the "properties" values for a scroll wheel are set in several different areas of Windows. Therefore, it would potentially be necessary to do down the list of them one at a time until the problem is discovered. OK?

First then, go into Control Panel, in this area is Internet Options (this applies to Internet Explorer an not Firefox, Safari or Chrome), go to Advanced Properties for Internet Explorer and you should find a check box for smooth scrolling. Un check that box and then reboot Windows.

Let me know if the problem repeats itself in the same amount of time or not. Once I have that info I can take you to the next option to troubleshoot. Be aware that this may take quite a while. I've been through this with my Logitech Mouse and I came down to having to remove and reinsert the USB cable time and time again.

So let me know your results.

Regards,
Worldvet

SOURCE: Screen jumps up / down, scroll wheel not working

My guess is that the scroll-wheel is being pushed down, even when you don't think that you are touching it. It might be "locking" in the "down" position, thus causing it _not_ to work when you do try to scroll.

What I'm trying to scroll, won't scroll as fast as I want it to.

If you click the start menu, then click control panel, and select mouse, you will get a pop up window, one of the tabs at the top of this window is 'wheel' there you will see an option to change the number of lines the wheel will scroll with each notch
hope this helps.

My Logitech mouse's scroll wont work. How do i get it to work? My mouse model is M215. Please respond ASAP.

This all depends on the operating system. If it is Windows, go to Control Panel, Mice and Keyboards and check that the mouse type is 3 button with scroll wheel

Logitech 8043770000 it do not respond to the button feature on left side which should enable me to schroll my chart down the screen

The scroll button should be the wheel. rolling back the wheel should scroll for you. you can also auto scroll by pushing down on the wheel and gently pulling the mouse backward. (faster you pull the mouse, faster it scrolls)

Scroll wheel not responding. It may be dirty how do I clean or fix it?

Hey,

Check that scroll lock is off
also try reinstalling the logitech software incase some setting is wrong, or you could go over all your settings in the logitech program to see what could be causing it.

Heres the 3200 laser software http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/433/140&cl=us,en

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ekse
