Do i need a wireless lan card in order to conect my PC HP Pavilion 6400la to my wireless modem?, this PC model come with this card or i need to buy it?

To have wireless internet you would need a (cable or DSL modem depending upon your ISP. A wireless router (doesn't matter which brand) Also for a desktop computer you will need to buy and install a wireless NIC (network interface card) as desktops almost never come with one, only a hardwired NIC (cabled)
Here is the LAN driver but you must have a Wireless PCI card or USB wireless device if you already have one let me know what type you have Make Model and your operating system
You will need to buy an expansion card to enable wireless. Your machine has 3 PCI slots for this purpose. I recommend you buy a G or N card since these are the latest. I personally would pick the N since is a better format, but it all comes down to your budget. Since a wireless router must support the card in order for it to enable connectivity. So make sure you have a router that will support the card you buy.
Graphics are always going to be the hangup with ratings.
A large processor is grate but will display alot of heat. Heat and time kills.

You can get this adapter from Linksys its WMP54G so you can make the computer wireless, but you can also check some adapter from Ntegear , Belkin and Dlink...
Check the Device Manager to see if the Wireless LAN device is working and enabled. If not reinstall the Wireless LAN driver.
If the Wireless LAN is OK and enabled then sometimes when you bootup the Wireless LAN card doesn't get an IP address from the wireless router. This usually has a red X on the wireless connection icon and sometime you get an error message "Limited or no connection".
To get the router to issue the wireless LAN card with a new IP address, righr click on the Wireless icon and click on Repair.
You can also power down the router wait 15secs and power up the router again then reboot the computer.
If it still doesn't work you could have a faulty wireless card, see it your friendly computer shop can test it for you.
u can use any brand . there's no problem in that . installation procedure is very simple. just buy a pci lan card. Insert it in the pci slot. Then switch on your computer , insert the driver cd provided with your lan card , then install the appropriate drivers.
Then, you can connect BSNL Broadband by connecting your ADSL modem with your LAN card.
