No, the ground wire does not interfere with any of the Powerline functions. The ground wire socket/third prong is a safety requirement for modern outlets and high-voltage equipment, and should not be tampered with.

Installing arc fault interrupter with ground fault

If you meant arch fault with ground fault then no, the two types interfere with each other and trip the breaker as one senses an arch and the other grounding.
If you meant ground fault breaker with a GFCI. receptacle, you only need one of the two, either GFCI. breaker or receptacle.

and for circuits, you can put up to 12 devices (i.e receptacle, light)assuming they consume 1 amp each. Anything over 12 amps or 80% of the rating on the breaker, it will trip/reset.
Or if your talking about wires on a breaker then no more than 2 wires recommended. Try adding a junction box outside the panel if your trying to add other branch circuits or tap off of a receptacle.

I'm using an 85Mbps Powerline Ethernet Adapter. The internet on the main computer (which is directly connected to the router) is fine with no interruptions. However i'm not having a smooth internet...

EOP connections can see interruptions when the power line itself has noise on it. Air conditioning motors, hair dryers, fans...basically anything that can create "noise" on a power line can cause interference to ethernet over power lines. The first thing to do is see what may be causing the intermittent nature of the internet cutting on and off. We moved to EOP over a year ago and experienced the same problem in two rooms of our house. In both cases we found that the upstairs Air conditioner unit, when it was on, was throwing so much noise on the power line that it was interrupting the signal and our wall units would stop "chatting". When the unit cycled down, everything would work fine again. We had an electrician come out and install EMC noise filters to that took care of the problem with the air conditioners adding this noise and we've been trouble free save for the use of a hair dryer now and then.

Wiring conia ccd4501

There could be two situations for you. For the wall outlet, you may have a four prong plug or a three prong plug. For a three prong plug the outlet has three prongs and the terminals inside match up with these prongs. The two slanted prongs on the top are the hot terminals and the red and black wires get connected to these (order doesn't matter but keep the wires matched up with the terminals on the same sides). The white wire is connected to the "L" shaped prong, the third lower prong. The bare copper wire is just bent out of the way. At the dryer for the three prong there will be three terminals 2 hot and one neutral. Usually, your dryer cord will have the neutral as the middle wire, but pay attention if your cord wires are color coded (where white will be your neutral wire). At the dryer there is a terminal which is connected to the frame of the dryer by a piece of metal. This is your neutral, connect your neutral wire from your cord up to this. The other two wires get connected to the other two terminals (order doesn't matter but keep the wires matched up with the terminals on the same sides). For the four prong its very similar but there is a small change, that bare copper wire is now used. The terminals on the wall outlet will line up with the prongs. The two vertical terminals on the left and right are your red and black wires. The "L" shaped prong is your white wire. Now the fourth prong, the one shaped like a semi circle is the terminal you connect that bare copper wire up to that is your ground. At the dryer for the cord (If its a four prong cord your wires should definitely be color coded). The terminal that had a connection to the dryer frame now will no longer have one. The terminal thats connected to the frame you connect the green wire to. The terminal that was connected to the "green wire terminal' is now the neutral terminal and your white wire gets connected to it. The other two terminals are where your connect your last two wires.

Hello,

This is a common problem for a lot of electronics these days: unwanted interference from a communications device. It is usually caused by a lack of proper shielding inside of the unit to absorb and redirect stray electromagnetic signals. But If it has started since you moved, then I suggest checking the outlets as a start.

Is the outlet 2 or 3-prong? If it is 2 prong, then that is immediately the problem. The electrical outlets should be 3-prong, with the round hole being the ground. If the wiring in the building is old 2 wire, but the outlet is 3-prong, the outlet's ground hole is not hooked up to anything, therefore, cannot carry the interference away from the TV.

There is a possibility that the wiring may be reversed, as well, which does cause all kinds of problems.

You can purchase an outlet checker from any hardware store, and they are always a great thing to have in any case. Check every unknown outlet for problems, and it may save your equipment, and you, from damage/death in the future.

If your outlets are the culprit, then a GFI (ground fault interrupter) outlet can be safely installed, and usually works fine (it compares the neutral and ground current, and makes a connection in the process).

Give this a shot. Post your findings if you would like.

Hello MrBig57,

Try unplugging the washing machine from the mains for about 15 minutes, turn off the circuit breaker to that socket. After 15 minutes, turn on the breaker, plug the machine back and see if it responds normally.
If that does not work, it could indicate a problem with the control panel or some other component that will require dismantling.

I recommend you get a professional to to do the job.

If you wish you can contact Maytag HERE.
