MAC address filtering is configured in the wireless settings.
Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on yourcomputer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the default admin password and configurethe wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Netgear 3300 does it work as a wireless repeater?

http://reviews.cnet.com/routers/netgear-wndr3300-rangemax-dual/4505-3319_7-32863752.html
sounds like that router isn't really well liked.
I do not recommend using wireless repeaters because your "second" network is only as good as the uplink to it, and I find you often can't move the repeater too far from the first router without sacraficing a lot of quality.
plus that router has bad range to start from what I hear

Netgear dualband wndr3300 - Why can I only connect to one band

Dual band means it is working on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency. If your computer can connect on both frequency that only means that the wireless adapter in your computer is also dual band.

A WPA ket is a password that you create. If you didnt create one, you shouldnt have one. If one is set and you dont remember, reset the router to factory settings.
