I hope you have not opened it up. Be sure the contacts in the battery compartment are clean. Leave the new battery in for a few days and keep turning it on/off. It may take a bit to fire up the CMOS which losses its memory with out power. Hope this Helps.

I have a leupold digital rangefinder RX IV Boone and Crocket edition, and suddenly stoped working, I changed the battery and nothing happened

This problem is caused by the 'step' inside the battery cover which prohibits the tip of the battery contacting the nipple inside the cover. I fitted a thin piece of aluminium strip (20thou) and the rangefinder works perfectly now. Note that most new CR2 batteries have higher sides which shields the tip too effectively - check it out.

Why does my 30 yr old redfield, widefield ,range finder accu-trac scope that has operated great for all these yrs, now I cain,t get it hit in the same zone a target. The rifle is clean and operates great...

well if the bullet hit is jumping about its all down to your scope,,,it could be that its just "lose on its mount!" or its died on you,,like the cross hair is bouncing about inside the scope so with the recoial it jumps into a new place with every shot fired there by giving you a new point of impact,,,
this can happen if the scope was wound right up or down or left or right and strain was put on the adjusters,,,you may need to buy a new scope,,,,a good "air rifle!" scope will work quite well on most full bore rifles,,,yer right i here you say!!! ok,,iv got air rifle scope's on my .303 + 7.62 + 22-250 + .357 under leaver marlin cowboy, all 3 of my .22 rim fire's and they have been on these rifles for years now,,,1000,000, of rounds fired so far, with no problems! and no drifting so far,,,
an air rifle scope is very strong you know,,,but they only cost £150,00p or less for a good one?????
ps,,,,dont buy a tesco scope there cra*y

8x magnification

The RX series of range finders are not of the optic quality that other Leupold optics are. I have used my RX IV in place of my binoculars, but it is not adequate for glassing for game full time. The rangefinding abilities left a lot to be desired for me. As long a the object was under 450 yards, it worked fine. Past that was somewhat difficult to get a range at times. Hope this helps.

Long range mode

Hi,

For the Cobra PR4700WX:
The user's manual is available here
To turn on/off the long range mode - (If you are referring to low & high power); Press and hold the Hi•Low/Enter button for two seconds.
Alternately, if you are referring to the Light/Max Range (receive sensitivity), 3 options:
1. To briefly turn off auto squelch - Press the Light/Max Range button for less than five seconds. If you hear two beeps, you have turned the maximum range extender on.
2. To turn maximum range extender on - Press and hold the Light/Max Range button for at least five seconds until you hear
two beeps which indicates the maximum range extender is on.
3. To turn maximum range extender off - Press and release the Light/Max Range button or change channels.
Probable reason that "fishing was all right but for hunting there is to much static" is becasue these radios operate on line of sight principle. Anything that obstructs the linear view would reduce signal strength/range. There is not that much obstruction when fishing compared to that when hunting in the woods or rough uneven terrain.
Please note that when using Channels 1 through 7 and 15 through 22 on high power, the Hi icon will be visible on the display. When using those channels on low power and on Channels 8 through 14, the Low icon will be visible on the display.

For the Cobra PR3500DX:
The user's manual is available here.
The transmission message icon off when not in use - this icon will only display if the radio is receiving something or if your are pressing the PTT button.
The other three the transmission signal is on at all times - indicates that either you are transmitting (unlikely) or the radio is in constant receive mode (most likely). I would venture a guess that the Auto Squelch is switched "OFF" or Maximum Range is switched "ON"

Both the 4700 & 3500 has Power Saver and it is a built-in feature. Your radios have this unique circuit designed that extend battery life. If there are no transmissions for 10 seconds, the radio will automatically switch to Battery Save mode and the Power Saver icon will flash in the display. This will not affect the radio’s ability to receive incoming transmissions.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
