The self defrost mechanism is not working. The evaporator is getting blocked with ice, an insulator, and that affects freezer as well as refrig temps. When you unplug unit the ice melts and it will work till the ice block returns.

How to lower freezer temperature

Not sure what you mean by the freezer too cold? The freezer section should be at or below 0 degrees C or 32 degree F. if its working properly. If the FF section is too warm and your temp control door or vent is at max cold either the vent is not moving (stuck in the closed position) or the fan in the freezer is not working.

The fridge is not cooling. Error ER DH showing on door. Freezer works fine. Was told that the PCB board is to be replaced as well as the defrost module. Cost will be approx $600. Can you advise o

The "Er dH," also known as the Defrost Heater Error message, is displayed when the unit fails to reach 46? F within 2 hours of beginning its defrost cycle. This may be an indication of the defrost heater having broken or the temperature fuse having been pulled out of its slot. Contact customer service if the problem persists after having attempted a system reset.
Quick Fix
  • Unplug the refrigerator for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Doing this will reset all the codes. Sometimes an error appears by fault. If it does not appear again after restarting, then the refrigerator is fine. If the code appears again, then there is a problem with the defroster.
Defroster Problem
  • The error code itself means that the defroster mode has failed. This means that the defrost mechanism cannot reach 46 degrees Fahrenheit within two hours to defrost ice in the freezer properly. Unplug the refrigerator and move all the items that can spoil into a backup fridge or freezer.
Repair
  • Look in the back top of the freezer. Use a screwdriver to remove the ice maker machine that blocks the back defrost panel. Remove the two side screws and pull away the plastic cover guard. Check the wire. If it is unplugged, then secure it to see if that is the problem. If the plug is connected, then remove it to check for more problems. Look for any faulted wires on the defroster. If it appears that the wires are fine, you need to replace the defroster panel. Contact your local LG dealer for the specific part number

Samsung rs267tdpn beeping 11 times

Sounds like the temperature is your problem which is why it's beeping at you. The freezer is supposed to be at 0 degrees, which is well below freezing at 32. If your unit can't get down to temperature but your refrigerator is correct (38 is the ideal temperature for the refrigerator) then you have something wrong with your control board. If you keep pressing the freezer button it will go to -4 then -6, then so on until it goes positive and eventually you can scroll to 0 again. Either way if it's set to -4 it should easily be below 0 degrees. If it jumps back to the current temp, replace the control board. Here is the part to order.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it.
The cold control probably the culprit
If this doesn't work Do this

be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP

REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK

OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Here is a tip that I wrote on moving refrigerators...if you did not do it thisway then you may well have ruined a perfectly good refrigerator.

Keep 3 to 5 degree temp setting. And check defrost cycling is properly done. Due to frosting formed behind the freezer could restrict the function freezer fan which throw freeze air to refrigerant compartment. Unplug fridge till defrosting all frosting, and then plug it again. Thanks.

How to set a temperture

Hello,

By keep your refrigerator or freezer too cold, it unnecessarily wastes electricity. The recommended temperature is 37 to 40 degrees for the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator. The recommended temperature for the freezer compartment is 5 degrees. If you have a separate freezer for long-term food storage, it should kept at 0 to -5 degrees.

The following steps below is how to set the temperature of your refrigerator.

The first thing you must know is that your refrigerator should be set at 37-38 degrees. Anything at 40 or higher and you are risking food born illness (food poisoning) or spoiling your food.

Step 2
Place your magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator.

Step 3
Set your dial on your refrigerator to the second lowest setting. (If your refrigerator is already equipped with a digital thermostat, simply set it for 37 or 38 degrees and do not move on to the next step)

Step 4
After 2 hours, check your thermometer reading. If your reading is 38 degrees, there is no need to go higher and you are ready to put your groceries in. Be sure not to open and close your refrigerator during these two hours or your temperature reading will be incorrect.

If your reading is higher than 38 degrees, move your dial up to the next coldest setting and repeat the steps every two hours until you reach the correct temperature for your refrigerator.

Step 5
Once you have reached the correct refrigeration temperature for your refrigerator, place the magnetic thermometer in the refrigerator permanently and watch for changes.

Typically, your refrigerator temperature will need to be adjusted with the seasons, a higher setting in the summer and a lower setting in the winter.

Hope this helpout and take care.
