I was a professional landscaper for 27 years in California. I would recommend that you look for some type of a soil sterilant, (which is a very strong weed killer, non-selective, such as Isotox). These are good for weed abatement in cracks and areas that you need more permanent weed solutions. Use caution, though, because these chemicals usually have long term effects, and could be washed into other areas that you may not want effected.

Yes it will. I usually spray right after the grass starts growing in the spring. If you want to save some money look at the labels on all the weed and grass killers and find the one with the highest percentage of GLYPHOSATE for the price . Concentrated is always cheaper than premixed and the roundup brand name will always be the most expensive. It's all the same stuff no need to buy the brand name.

round up i think has a two week withholding period, so wait two weeks & turn the soil over & re seed is the only way I can see
SOURCE: Quantity of Roundup weed killer to spray 140 acreas of crop land
This 2.0% glyphosate is ready to apply at a rate of 3-10 gallons per acre That's 420-1400 gallons per 140 acres. Some weeds need a higher concentration than 2%. Most farmers buy 41% glyphosate concentrate, determine the number gallons of spray mixture their equipment will deliver, determine the concentration of glyphosate they need and mix the concentrate with water accordingly.
