A1 rotation from A0 roll

I could't understand the question exactly..I will try my level best, it may helps you..
T770 plotter having three media paths..
1. Sheet path
2. Roll 1
3. Roll 2..
After initializing, printer will ask to load the media, you have to specify the desired media selection ie sheet, Roll1, Roll2..
If U R selected roll one, message appears on screen "Open Roll 1 cover", you have to follow the message, once the paper is loaded in the path, printer has to detect the paper,it has to pull inside with the help of the roll feed motor..
In this case If UR selected Roll 1 on printer screen & inserted Roll 2 media, printer will runs Roll 1 motor, not roll 2 motor.. This problem U might be facing..
If my suggestion is not helping U, pl let me know exact problem what UR facing...

Remove roll from sheet path how

This is one of frequent error in this series.

as you know two types of media paths 1. roll media 2. Sheet media. In sheeteet media loading area, you can observe 'u' shaped(extremly right side where sheet media sits) plastic mould which paper passes through in it. This palstic mould contains paper sensor to sence the sheetmedia. If this sensor is dusty, printer will treats that sheet path accupied by media. The best method to clean this sensor is to blow pressure air in this sheet path area.bicycle pump is best for this process.. try it...

Red and green light turn after first run

Its common problem in T Series Plotters:
Cause of malfunction: These plotters having separate sheet path as well as roll path for print media. After initializing plotter its verify the available media(sheet or roll). If sheet path is occupied by the media it wont allow the roll media, means first priority is for sheet. If sheet path paper sensor dusty or malfunction, printer will say "remove paper from sheet path" even no paper in sheet path..
How to shoot this problem:
You need to clean sheet path sensor located at sheet loading area.(black 'U' shaped part) Applying the pressured air at sensor is the best method to clean.. If problem remain you need to remove the sensor & clean or replace it.

HP T1100 paper load incorrect

Check:
1. Was its sensing the paper while loading the media?(roll or sheet)
2. Perform 'service test for sensors' to know how media sensor is working.. if its fails clean media sensor located left side of carriage assembly. If the media sensor becomes dirty due to ink, printer unable to detects the medias edge. Clean sensor gently.

HP DesignJet 430 rejecting media

When you load the paper, the carriage edge detector measures exactly where the right edge of the paper is located. Then the paper is rolled forward and the edge is measured again. If there is a difference in the measurements, the printer assumes the paper is not loaded squarely and rejects the paper. After you load the paper and the printer asks you to align the paper, take your time, release the paper with the release lever, and line up the right edge of the paper with the right edge of the paper roll. You might have to do it more than once to get it to load. Some plotters are very sensitive and others are more forgiving.

Media Rejection

edgie46,
I have some bad news for you. The media sensor is faulty. This sensor is not sold seperatly. The entire pen carrage (head) has to be replaced at quite a cost.
Your part number from an HP parts supplier is C4713-60039

Its strange that is a refurbished machine with a faulty carrage. Maybee you can claim under a warrenty

HP designjet 430 E Plotter

The reason it could be the main board is that it tells the front panel lights what to do. This seems like a logical problem the printer is having, usually things freeze when internal memory is bad. Surely have the main board replaced. There is a part of the internal programming that it cant get past. Compare it with trying to read a sector of a cd-rom that is scratched.

I think making sure the paper is properly aligned fixes that problem. I get it once in awhile.
