Printer was printing fine on my document that includes colorful, heavy coverage of ink. But all of the sudden the printing has lines through it that look like barcodes. They aren't in black, but are in the colors of the background of the paper.

Sounds like your print head needs cleaning
make sure you have ink in the cartridges

open up your printer properties and look for a maintenance section and choose head cleaning
print a test page to comfirm that the head is clean
some printers need a deep cleaning
when the test page comes out without any imperfections, it should print fine.
