Error code 32:11 indicates a problem in the cameras tape transport sestem. This can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly, a defective clutch in the take-up spool or a faulty rotary mode switch. This will require disassembling the camera to repair and can be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

PLEASE HELP! -- I have now bought 2 Sony DCR-TRV350's. One, I bought originally in 2003 and has worked like a charm up until a few months ago. I have a bunch of old tapes that I never got around to...

Found this post re: Sony C:31 errors
http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Video%20Camera/Sony/Sony_DCR-TRV18_-_Error_Code.
In a nutshell: - Remove tape and close door - Remove all power supplies (battery and AC) - Smack the bottom of the camera hard with your palm - Reattach power supply, insert tape and try again
This solution has worked for me, but problem usually reappears after a few uses.

Door not open

Before doing anything the numbers on this code tell you to clean camera and heads.
After it should all be fine.

My sony handycam dcr-hc26 door won't close. error C:32:11

Hi,
Remove battery/ power source from camcorder for minute, reattach battery/ power source and close the tape door.
If that does not solve problem then I'm afraid, tape mechanism got defective and will be replaced.
Let me know if you need tape mechanism part number info.
Thanks.

I have a jvc gr-sxm26u camcorder and it has two problems... the tape door will not open when the eject button is pushed to the left. 2nd problem. the screen indicates that there is a problem labeled as "...

E01 Mechanism has not fully loaded up to the stop position

E-01, E-02, E-05, or E-06 is an Emergency Error Code. In the event of a malfunction the unit will shut down and display a code which is to inform a technician which area of the camcorder to examine in order to ascertain the nature of the problem. Try the following steps:

1) Remove power source for 1 minute. 2) Reattach power source. 3) Try operating the camera.

The indication E-03 or E-04 is an Emergency Error Code. In the event of a malfunction the unit will shut down and display a code. This is to inform an independent JVC authorized service center which area of the camcorder to examine in order to ascertain the nature of the problem.

The E-03 or E-04 code relates to one of the tape spindles not turning. This could be the result of too much slack on the video tape. If E-03 or E- 04 is displayed it may be possible to correct the problem by removing the tape slack. In order to do this follow these steps:

1) Remove power source for 1 minute.
2) Reattach power source.
3) Press "EJECT" (DO NOT PRESS POWER)
4) Repeat above steps until tape ejects.
5) Tighten and insert a new tape."

A common E01 problem with the JVC is caused by electrically conductive residues on the very end of the connector strip which connects the small front circuit panel to the main circuit panel (this residue can only be seen under a microscope). Symptoms are, the mechanism remains closed or the cassette holder will not latch down and remains permanently raised. Basically the micro cannot read the mechanism position data. The connector strip needs to be taken out & carefully cleaned with alcohol.

If all else fails then its a trip to JVC service and a biil of between $`100 and $250 depending on what the problem is. My last E01 was a motor change and cost $180 but the cam has been fine ever since but next cam will be a Canon..

Tape holder will not close

I am no longer a Sony product fan - this is the most unacceptable performance of any of their prodducts I have ever attempted to use. I have NEVER been able to record ANYTHING with this. The very first cassette - gave me the 'moisture' flashing symbol, and the cassette would not eject. Then after reading a recommendation on this board, I removed and reinstalled the battery a couple of times and the cassette finally popped out - now it won't accept the cassette and close - PLUS will not accept my normal NPfh30 battery and keeps telling me to reattach the power source. and after nummerous tires and camera resets, tried the NPFH100 battery and it tells me that I can not use this battery in the camera. I still get a C:32:11 code and so far this is a non-functional - malfunctioning POS

"Re-attach the power source" but tape is stuck, door open

I had the same problem. First, depress the reset button, located on the camera body (where the LCD screen closes over it). It is hard to see at first. It is important that the camera be set to the OFF position. When the camera is whirring after the reset, then hit the EJECT button so the tape comes out. Take the tape out and insert it back. That's it. My camcorder worked fine and let me record or plaback once I followed those steps.
