Trying to get instructions of to how to use a laptop samsung v20 computer laptop without the battery and use main power only, Computer came without any instructions or manual.

look up a disassembly video for your laptop on youtube by typing your laptop model into the search bar followed by "disassembly". Only disasseble far enough to gain access to the button cell battery on the motherboard. Looks about like a shiny nickle. Remove the battery and reassemble the laptop without inserting the button cell battery. Before putting the main laptop battery back in or plugging it in, press the power button for about 10 seconds, then let the computer sit for about 2 minutes to make sure all power has drained from the laptop. Now put in the main laptop battery and start the computer up. You should now be able to enter the bios without entering the password. Remove or turn off the bios password, don't forget to save the settings before exiting the bios. Re - disassemble the laptop and re - insert the button cell battery and re- assemble the laptop. You should be good to go.

Any sound? Does the HDD led blink during start-up? Can you hook it up to a external display? If so, what is on the screen?

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. BATTERY IS BAD COULD BE CAUSED BY LEAVING AC ADAPTER PLUGGED IN ALL THE TIME ORDER NEW BATTERY COST LOW ON EBAY AROUND 20 BUCKS

I have come across this issue before. I believe it was with a dell or Gateway laptop. The screen had been stepped on. I wanted to check the computer out before I replaced the screen. I connected an external desktop monitor. It worked fine. You just have to hope that the dual monitor feature is enabled. There's no way to do it without a monitor or active screen. I hope that helps.

Your battery may be faulty. Does the laptop work at all without being plugged in?

REMOVE THE BATTERY AND TRY TO POWER ON WHILE CONNECTING THE POWER ADAPTER...

You have the risk that the laptop don't run. Or if it run, it give you problems.
Try to see on the internet, there are many site that cells laptop batteries.
