If pressure is low, the pump will not shut off.
Is there a leak somewhere inside or outside?
You have to determine why the pressure is so low.

How do I prime my flotec 4022 pump

A number of Flotec pump manuals are available here: http://www.flotecpump.com/ResidentialResourcePage_resourcepage_ownersmanuals.aspx . The site lists a FP4022-10 pump with the direct link to the manual here: http://www.flotecpump.com/resources/images/514.pdf .

For this type of pump, there should be a priming plug or priming tee. Remove the plug (or tee) and pour water into the pump. Keep adding water until the pump and all of the piping to the well is full of water. If a priming plug or tee was also added on the suction side of the pump, open that section and fill all of the piping on the suction side with water. Replace the plugs/tees then open a faucet in the house. Start the pump. After 2-3 minutes, turn off the pump if no water has come through the unit. Add more water through the priming plug or tee (or multiple plugs and tees). Then repeat closing the priming ports and start the pump after opening a faucet. Once the pump is actually pumping water, turn off the open faucet. Wait for the pump to shut off once it reaches full pressure. Open one or two faucets to check that the pump is properly sensing the pressure changes and maintaining system water pressure.

If the unit didn't pull water from the well, check the piping for air leaks. See the full trouble-shooting guide in the manual. Page 9 has the priming information and page 10 has the trouble-shooting guide.

I hope this helps.

F9,E0 error I cleaned the pump filter and hoses found debris in both. When I run the machine on quick wash with no clothes it works fine. When I put clothes in and wash the error returns

Need model number
F09 -
Overflow Condition (Pressure Switch Closed Too Long) - Check to make sure drain hose is not plugged or kinked and unplug the unit and disconnect power. Check wire harness connections to pressure switch, drain pump, and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check for drain pump failure and clean it of any debris. Check the inlet valve and pressure switch for proper shut off and operation. Replace failed component. Note: If this error occurs, the door will remain locked and the drain pump will run constantly even if 'cancel' is selected. Turn off hot and cold water to faucets and unplug the unit before proceeding.

F-27 light on

I assume that simply pressing PAUSE/CANCEL does not clear it. This indicator will come on if the overflow contact on the pressure switch is closed for more than 60 seconds. Is the drain pump running constantly with this indicator on? It should. If not maybe the pump is bad. If the drain pump is running then make sure that the inlet valve is shutting off the water. Does the indicator stay on even if the drain pump is working and you turn off the hot and cold water faucets? If not, then there is something wrong with the inlet valve. If so then I would suspect a bad pressure switch.

No hot water pressure in kitchen, low cold pressure

sounds like a bad faucet//only if you had good pressure before it was installed..to cheaply test..take the hot water off from the shutoff valve and spray it into a milk jug to see if theres good flow..then replace the faucet assmbly..dont forget to turn off the shutoff valve first..or you will get a watery surprise!

Pegasus shower valve makes a jackhammer sound

Pegasus shower faucet causing nearby toilet flush to trigger tankless hot water heater to trigger. Also, all faucets in house make hammering noise when turning them off. When turning the inwall pegasus shower faucet valve water stops shut, all issues disappear. So the pegasus cartridge is at fault, though we just replaced it and the pressure regulator too. Will another cartridge/pressure regulator work instead?

When turned on ,pump runs for about 8 to 10 sec. stops, then starts back up then repeats as long as water is on

You have a waterlogged pressure tank. To fix this problem, follow these steps:

1. Determine your cut in pressure by looking at the pressure gauge and seeing when the pump turns on.

2. Shut off the electric to the pump and shut off the main water to the house.

3. Drain the water from the pressure tank completely. You can do this by opening the drain at the bottom the the pressure tank.

4. With a air compressor and tire gauge (don't use pressure gauge on the pump) put enough pressure in the tank so that it is two psi less than the cut in pressure. So if your pump turns on at 30 psi, put 28 psi in the tank.

5. Turn the power back on to the pump and let it run till it shuts off.

6. Turn the water back on to the house.

7. This should fix the problem. If it does not, the bladder in the pressure tank is bad and the whole tank needs to be replaced.

This is a general fix without knowing your make and model of pump or pressure tank. This is a universal way of fixing this problem.

Grundfos JPF4A pump. takes a long time to get up to prime then once it kicks in after running water it gets to 50 shuts of but drop pressure instantaneously and kicks back in again. The constant on off...

The check valve is bad. When the system builds up pressure and shuts off the check valve prevents water from dropping back down the well line. When the check valve goes bad water drops back down the well line and siphons water back out of the well tank causing the switch to kick on and off constantly. The check valve will between on the well line coming from the drop pipe. It may be making a constant rattling noise as pump is running. Replace the check valve and you should be fine. Also check the pressure in bladder tank it should be 2psi below the "cut-in" pressure for the switch.

It has a f 09 code

Hi.If the overflow contact on the pressure switch is closed for more than 60 seconds, an Overflow Condition will occur. In an overflow condition, the door remains locked and the drain pump runs constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the display is cleared. Turn off hot and cold water faucets and unplug the unit before servicing the unit in this case.

Possible Causes / Procedure

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Check for drain pump failure.
6. Check the inlet valve for proper shut off.
7. Check the pressure switch for proper operation.

The culprit in this situation could be the inlet vale, drain pump or pressure switch. Check all points above to isolate the issue. If you require a service manual to guide you through the necessary inspections, I will need your entire model number to post it. Post the entire model number, asap. i will post the proper service manual after i receive your model number and brand.

The pump goes on and off repeatedly

The pump should only run if you are using water. If you have a leak it will cycle on and off. If it only cycling fast when you're using water, you may need an expansion tank, sometimes referred to as a bladder tank for newer style. If you have a "bladder" tank , the bladder may be leaking and lost it's air charge. This bladder will have an initial air charge, and when the pump runs it will compress the bladder even further. When the pump shuts off the bladder is compressed. When you begin to use water, mainly low flow like one faucet, the bladder will begin to expand expelling the water from the tank until the pressure drops below that of the pump pressure switch. This makes the pump start and stop fewer times.
