mfr,, model? (hot water is to be supplied into the washer, it seems cold water is supplied?)
there's a 'heating element' but i guess this is use to dry the dishes.
"heating element" should be available, search using mfr. & model no.
Symptoms sound like crossover might be part of problem: Crossover is when cold water enters hot water line due to faulty plumbing part like check valve, mixing valve, or bad faucet cartridge. http://waterheatertimer.org/Crossover.html
Most dishwashers require a minimum 120 degree inlet water temp. The heating element will boost this up during the main wash cycle to aprox 140. Do not hook a dishwasher up to inlet water temps above 150.
Hi,
I think both the heater and thermostat / trip switches need to be checked.
If water is going in and out ok, then it seems to be waiting to heat the water. It sees a fault - so just clears out.
Heating elements do fail after a few years.
Make sure the drain hose high loop is installed properly, normally you
have this in the sink cabinet high up. Otherwise the water inside the
machine may drain "by itself", leaking through the inactive drain pump during the wash cycle and cause this and other
troubles.
check the heating element for contunity some also have a thermastat connected to the tub that could be open
make sure that the heat selection is sellected on the console
inspect the wiring going to the heating components
Wash water isn't hot even after we run hot water in sink before turning on dish water. However rinse water is hot. It appears the heating element is not working on wash but is on rinse?
