FE error means that the water is filling past it's set point. You may have a broken water valve that won't shut off when it's in the filling mode. You can check by running the washer and watching the water fill. If the water level fills above the bottom of the glass, you have a water valve that's not shutting off. Replace the water valve.

2003 santa fe hood wont open

Pull the lever! No, I'm JUST KIDDING! I had a Nissan that did the same thing, I had to either jam something into the lever in the up/pulled position or have someone else hold it up while I pulled up on the hood. If I did that, it worked everytime. But if I pulled the lever and then walked to the hood it would NEVER release. My mechanic said something (a clip or something I'm not sure) was broken and it would've cost me about 200 to fix it. So I never fixed it. I just found a block of wood to jam into the space when the lever was pulled and I could open the hood by myself if I were on the road. I hope that helps! Good luck!

Upside down backwards fE comes on. We had a

The error code FE refers to the fact that water is overflowing ( normally means the inlet water valve is stuck open and continues to let in water beyond the expected and/or sensed level.. so the water pump turns on to drain it and keep the level down. This kind of problem would probably warrant a aservice call from a tech since the majority of troubleshooting would require diagnosing the failed component itself and is not something that I recommend you try. There are too many pieces of hardware that have a direct impact on how this works and I highly doubt you want to play the shotgun approach..try this to see if it fixes the problem and if not..try that...

Before calling for service.. try this..

remove or disconect ac power from the washer..let it sit unplugged for at least an hour..then try washing 1 towel at the lowest cold water setting to see if that works ..if it does..repeat the process using only hot water.. if that works... then try the same test using warm water.. ( this test may help determine if the water inlet valve .,.either hot or cold is leaking through it)...
If you still get the FE test..call for service..

BTW..if only one of the two tests fails.. ( Hot water only generates an FE error.. then chances are the hot water inlet solenoid valve assembly is either sticking open or the controls to that are commanding it to remain open.

Disc not reading. toshiba dr420 dvd recorder.

Multiple problems with the DVD recorder one of them could be the lasers not reading correctly its software is messed up or there something wrong with this but to me it sounds more like the DVD recorder has a problem I've experienced this problem before not with this particular type of DVD recorder I fix the problem by unplugging the DVD player for about 20 seconds to a minute to give it a good reset.
Quick tip: most high Tech Device problems or unknown errors can be fixed by simple restart or reset hope this helps

"FE" error code; won't stop filling

Hello Sheri Tucker,

The "FE" code is referring to a bad or malfunctioning water valve. The machine continues to fill because the solenoid on the valve inside the machine isn't closing to stop the water. The valve should be inspected and/or replaced if bad. This will require some dis-assembly, if washing machine repair isn't something your comfortable with then a service call is the best bet. If you are going to try and inspect yourself please make sure you unplug the machine before starting any dis-assembly. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
