Your 4G card is probably an SDHC card which won't work in your camera. It only takes SD cards.

Just Read Kodak states maximum 2 GB card for C533.
My Camera said old card Full, and won"t recognize a PNY, Nor a Sandisk, Nor a Samsung. Come to hate Kodak. $300-$400 in Complete Outfit, printer, film additional $200. and it stops recognizing a Card.

What size sd card will kodak c533 accept

The C533 will accept any SD card. SD cards max out at 2GB. Larger cards are actually SDHC cards and will not work in the C533. So, use cards up to 2GB.

How do I format a SD card in aKodak V570 digital camera

Make sure you have an SD card. If your card is 4GB or larger then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in your camera.

Kodak camera won't format sd card

Your older camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD card. It can not be used with the new 4GB or higher SDHC cards. Fortunately, 2GB cards are relatively inexpensive these days, and may be found on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them.

My c703 won't format a new memory card. The old memory card is full (2GB), but I've tried two NEW Lexar 4GB cards and neither will format. Help!

Hi, The reason neither 4GB card will format is because that camera is only able to support, at most, a 2GB card. I'd suggest returning the 4GB card and getting another 2GB one.

I have brought a new 8gb memory card for it when i insert it it says it needs to format it i click yes then it trys to format but then says the card is unusable

The C533 works with MMC and SD cards. Your new 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Tried two different brand sd cards. c533 tries to

Try turning the camera off and then back on.Ensure that the memory card is the proper type for the camera. If the memory card is the proper type, try re- formatting the card using the Format option in the Delete sub-menu of the Playback Menu. If it will not format, it is probably corrupted. Replace the memory card

Have a Kodak EasyShare C743, bought a SanDisk, won't format

Your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, your camera can only use standard SD cards, those usually 2GB or less. An SDHC card will not be recognized properly by your camera. If you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for SD and "non hc", with the non hc in quotes. Believe that Transcend makes one.

I have a samsung s1070 and i just brought a 4gb SD card and the camera won't accept it.It keeps upcoming as card error?any ideas

S1070 SD card support:
SD Card (up to 2GB guaranteed) MMC plus (up to 1GB guaranteed) SDHC (up to 8GB guaranteed)

So if your SD card is a 4G MMC you will have to downgrade to 1 or 2G.

Good Luck
