I notice that the tv seems to go fuzzy, but more at the top then the bottom. the lines look like they are twitching. It may be even all over but from what I can see, I think it's more twitchy at the top and the right corner more than the left. I have only tried the front hookup which is the yellow, white, red cable connection. Is it something with the tv that I can fix, or is there no way to calibrate it? I tried adjusting all the options in the menu, but none seem to make a difference.

SOURCE: connecting dvd/vcr combo with tv and digital cable box.

You trying to put the DVD/VCR combo between the cable box and the TV? OK, cable out goes to vcr in, vcr out goes to tv, I think you got that. Now there should be a tv/vcr button on the vcr/dvd, you need to press that when the unit is on. Also, make sure you are on the correct input on both the vcr and the tv, usually video 1 or AUX and choose line in or L1 on the vcr/dvd. If the tv/vcr button is toggled, itll completely bypass the vcr/dvd player.

I have a 2 year old LG LCD TV (model 42LG60) and I am having problems with the screen. I turn it on and everything is fine for a few minutes and then the screen goes to red or green lines that are fuzzy....

Not really a solution, sorry, but I've got the very same problem. I haven't noticed the time before tv faults, but nontheless, it greenscreens or like in your case, redscreens as well. I've been told to open the back, which I did to check the status of the capicitors, which I've done. But, the capacitors "seem" fine. No bulging or popped tops. So, I'm at a stand still...not sure what to do at this point. If someone gives you solution, I sure would appreciate your forwarding it on to me. Thanks. Robert

New vizio 26'' hdtv seems sharp from a distance, but pixalated and

it is important to understand the difference in digital cable and high def. high definision is on a fiber optic display alwing milions of pixels per square inch on your tv. the resolution effects your fuzzy picture you are recieving . the only real way to fix that fuzzy dull picture is to get a HD box from your cable provider and an HDMI cable to conect it to your HD TV. this is the only connection you will need for picture and top line sound. In the end the fee is usually $9.95 or less a month and it is well worth the difference in quality of TV viewing.

Faint horizontal lines from top to bottom after an hour of use...

I can tell you right off the bat that is a service issue you will have to take up with sharp. Contact their operational support, they have a quick turnaround with things like that. When you call, they will most likely ask you to take digital pictures of these black lines and have you e-mail the pics to them.

Fuzzy area on right side

I also have this same problem.... I took the thing apart blew the dust out and put it back together..... no change. I was not able to fix the problem, but if you go into the color settings you can tweak back the red and green to the the heavy distortion to go away. It is almost unnoticeable now.

Good luck

"nervous twitching"

"twitching" horizontally stilltwitches near upper and lower edges and occasionally through the middle. the above problem is due to horizontal oscillator section . some capacitor is faulty in that section. if you are not tech. person please call tech. to fix it. it is not a major problem. also please check for little sparking in high voltage section. hope this will help. good luck.

Picture fuzzy and flickers (like tracking)

The flicker could be caused by a bad solder connection arcing or even a bad picture tube. If you notice the screen getting drawed in from the sides as well as top and bottom it may be in the power supply regulation circuits, but the focustat around the area of the high voltage transformer could also be breaking down. If it's over about 8 years old, I would replace it with a HDTV set. Check out the latest issue of Consumer reports for ideas. (No I don't work for them-I've just seen so many people just walk into a *Mart and pick out a TV like they were choosing a box of cerial without doing a bit of research to find one that would suit them best, that I'm trying to put out a word to the wise among us).
