Hi Jurgie,
I'm Harvey, the Master Plumber,
Happy to render my assistance.
This is your problem!
When you are switching on the boiler it ignites for 8 to 10 seconds, then it
cuts off and the lock out lamp comes on. Pressing the reset button or
turning on the hot water tap has the same effect.
I need to get the make and model of your specific boiler to give you an accurate answer!
Waiting for your response.
Harvey, your Master Plumber.
Sounds like the gas valve to me you need to see if the appliance is sparking 1st if it is then u need to check wether there is the right voltage going to the gas valve according to mi manufactureres instructions normally 240 volts ac if there is voltage then the gas valve is sticking get back to me after your findings
Hi Harvey,
the make and model of the boiler is Ideal Mini C24
Thanks
Juergie
