Hmmm well with what you describe I wouldn't wonder that there is some problem with the drive train? I would think, that a pulley, or gear or the like has come loose, most likely the shaft securing bolts? and is wobbling & binding while rotating? This then would cause extra current to be drawn from the battery and controller, and would then most likely trip the overload protection of the motor controller?
If you can DIY, then I guess the first place to start is there at the Drive Train. look for anything wrong in this area? Then either tighten it all up if possible or replace the broken or worn out parts? However to do any of this I imagine one would also need a service manual, accordingly you would need to obtain one, a Google search, use the exact make and model and the words... service manual.... That may provide one? Or a direct approach to the manufacturer?
However IMHPO, you will be most likely best served by contacting a professional, contact the manufacturers or agents head or local office and ask for a referral to their authorised service center persons? and getting them, to at the least, give you a "Quote' as to what's wrong, and how much it may cost? After you have all this information, then one can ,make up ones mind as to what to do, repair or replace?

Metallic clicking noise from wheel area when turning left.

This noise sounds like one of the constant velocity joints in the half shaft. The joint is probably dry or worn out and needs to be replaced.

I have a droning noise coming from the front of the car

It could be the rack and pinion steering unit. There is valving in the internals to move the control rods in and out of the main fixture. It could be that the seals on the rod or the shaft is irregular when moved for a left turn. This would allow for perfect performance straight ahead or when the rod is extended for a right turn.

If the unit is binding on a left turn, the pump may go into bypass mode and make sounds as the pressure modulates. It is also possible that the Ball joints on the left side are bad and require more effort for the rack and pinion to move. This would cause the pump to work harder.

Whenever I drive I continue to hear a loud roaring noise. Is this wheel bearing problem or is it something else

Quite often it is a bad wheel bearing, a lot of chevy's are notorious for them. A wheel bearing will usually create a growling type noise that is more prominent at around 40-60MPH. If its a wheel bearing you should notice a change in pitch when turning in one direction, for example if you have a bad right side wheel bearing it will be noisy driving straight ahead, then get louder when turning LEFT. If you turn right the noise softens. The weight distribution of the front end will be greater on the right side when turning left. Of course the works in the opposite direction. If the noise remains constant going straight and turning it could be a bad tire. Visually check the tire for pressure and bulges in the side wall. You didn't mention what type or model vehicle you have, because in some cases the rear wheel bearing could be causing the noise.

My celica makes a knocking sound when i turn hard, more so when i turn to the right. the mechanic took a quicl look and said its the drive shaft. ive changed the right hand drive shaft and no change. any...

If it is a loud clicking noise it is more than likely the driveshaft, but on a right hand turn it will be the left shaft, not the right. The boot on the outer joint is usually a good indicator of whether the joint is ok, as they usually fail at around the same time. Inspect the boot on the outer joint for cracks or splits & grease loss. There could also be excessive play in the joint when the wheel is in the straight ahead position, check this by rotating the shaft back & forth while the trans is in neutral, engine off with wheel locked or on the ground.

I would check the sway bar linkages, they are usually the first to go, and they are only $40. Its an easy 'do it yourself' project, remove the old one with torches or a grinder (with a small cutting wheel). You can also use a vise grip and sockets but it takes longer.

You can't tell these are damaged until you remove the part. I change mine every 100 000km or so.
