Acer Aspire 3100 i have driver but audio is not working

Hello,
I install the windows xp with service pack three, after installing all drivers they all are working well expect audio driver, its install successfully but i cant able to show volume control and no voice in my laptop, whats the problem please please help me out.

    I have exactly the same problem! The suggested hotfix for SP-2 "ms_uaa-high_definition_audio_1.0a_kb888111.exe" will not work, because it says: " your SystemPack (SP3) is higher than the hotfix. No implementation needed or so..."

You got to consult the manufacturer regarding SP3 drivers

a lot of people had issues with their hardwares since SP3 was released

Hello,

By default, this Aspire 3000 supports only windows XP. Running something else, might cause trouble.

Acer Aspire 3000 XP Sound Driver download

If above doesn't work, start the notebook up in safe mode and uninstall any driver that has been installed already. Reboot. Download and install registry cleaners and driver cleanup tools (free ones) and repair the registry and clean it. Then re-try to install the driver above.

How can i re boot my computer as bought
You need to reinstall Windows again from scratch using the Recovery CD, if you have not got it you can purchase one from Acer.
Otherwise you nee a Windows installation CD with the product installation code and after you have installed Windows you need to install the device drivers for the devices that are installed on your Acer.

You can download the drivers from the Acer WEB site Make sure you select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers you that require matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support :-

Can Acer aspire 5738 support Windows XP os?
Yes you can, good choice. one thing the comment above me didnt mentioned was that you need to change the settings on your disk in BIOS to native IDE and not sata.(if sata the windows installation doesent find your DISKS.) good luck

"no audio device" is detected in windows XP spII,
You need to install the audio driver. Go to the Acer WEB site to download the drivers you need, make sure it is Windows XP version for your particular MODEL laptop. Use this link :- http://global.acer.com/support/download.htm By the way, the latest Service Pack for XP is SP3 you should download this and install it, try to borrow SP3 on a CD because it is approx. 350Mb in size.
