Don't know that fan even thou I sale Fanimation! If it came with a remote & has no pull chains then you can only use the remote feature. You can order a new transmitter, that you would have to match the dip switches in the receiver to. I would need to have model# of fan. www.fanfairceilingfans.com [email protected]

SOURCE: mika aire remote fan

Not sure if this addresses your problem or not, but with my Minka Aire ceiling fans, the fan has to be moving in order to change the fan direction. Turn the fan on (any speed works), then push the reverse button. The fan will speed up to max, then you'll hear the gears switching. The fan will slow to a stop, change directions and get back up to speed in the new direction.

Remote controls will not work after smart meter installed by Central Maine Power

Power meter install is same as having a momentary power outage as meter is pulled from socket (like pulling extension cord out of outlet) and then new meter is 'stabbed' or pushed back into place.

I'm not sure if remote can flip off and need to be reset without knowing exactly what the remote operates, and the brand and model number of remote so I can look up possible instruction manual.

If you have a manual, then read about 'reset.'

Please add a comment with specific details for best answer.

How do i remove the black box on my screen

don't have the original remote control, I used the time warner control, I just reprogramed to control my tv without the cable box, I put the volume all the way up in the tv, then down to zero, and at the same time I hold the 0 key in the remote control, after that the screen said lamp has been reset to zero, I repeated this step because a lamp red light stayed on, after this only the power green light only stays, when installing the new lamp make sure is all the way in, you can use the white out to mark exactly where you have to push or put in the new lamp, it may not been all the way in, hope this help someone !!

My dish remote does not work on my new RCA tv. How do I fix that?

Hey Vernon Long,

We would have to program your remote to your RCA TV. I have provided the steps to program the remote below along with a few codes to try. You can view the link provided for more codes if the ones I list don't work!

Link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/apps/remotecodes.aspx

Codes: 502, 646, 633

Addressing Remote to TV:

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Our remotes aren't guaranteed to work all types of equipment, but if the codes don't work let me know here and I will try some more steps with you!

CEILING FAN WORKS,BUT REMOTE ONLY WORKS THE FAN SECTION, WILL NOT DIM LIGHTS NOR TURN OFF LIGHTS ONLY SO WE CAN USE FAN ONLY. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO?

Fist, make sure the bulbs are good. Check in another fixture to verify that they indeed work. Since the remote works the fan, dead batteries can be ruled out. The problem will be confined to either a bad receiver in the fixture, or a bad remote.

Since Hampton Bay is a line carried by Home Depot, you may have some luck bringing your remote to HD and trying it out on the display units. You may need to try different address settings on the remote to find one that works if you don't get results the first time. This is usually several two position switches often called "DIP Switches". Change the positions of them one at a time until you find one that works. Try to control a fan first. Once you find a fan the reacts to the commands from the remote, try to control the light. If the light doesn't work - the remote has a bad transmitter or light switch control. You could attempt to disassemble the switch, but most don't have parts that look different when they're bad. You'll probably have to replace the remote.

If the lights work, then the problem is with your fixture. You can remove or simply bypass the radio controller in the fixture and install an after market receiver and remote to control it again. These are sold at Home Depot and work with any paddle fan.

I hope this helps & good luck!

Ceiling fan with remote control stopped working suddenly, ruled out battery for remote control, because I changed a new one, ruled out circuit since everything is working, I don't have a pull on the...

with Hampton Fans,, normally if the remote is good with a known good battery , and it quits working,, its the remote receiver, not the actual remote that goes bad. you can contact these guys I heard they have the part you need http://www.ceiling-fans-n-more.com/hampton-bay-ceiling-fan-parts.php

The remote will not work

Hi!

First thing to do is to check if the remote really don't work. Here's a very simple way to do that: If you have a digital camera or a mobile phone with a camera, start the camera and point the remote control to the lens. Push a button on the remote and look on the screen of the camera/mobile phone. If the remote control works, the camera will be able to show the IR beam on it's screen.

If no light beam is coming from the remote control, it will be very easy to make it working again. Please remove battery, open the case of the remote by unscrew (if present) any screw, and, using a plastic card open carefully the case. Now please take every part and simply wash it with dish washing liquid or liquid soap and warm water. Now, be sure everything is very good dryied, best with a hair dryer, put all parts carefully togheter and ...that's it.

Please let me know if it helped.

Good luck!
