I have a jacuzzi tub in my master bath, and it has started surging through the jets in about an 8 second interval. Also I have started noticing a little bit of water leaking from under the side of the tub. The pump and all hardware are enclosed beneath the tub. What could cause this?

Surging is caused when the pump doesn't have enough water to push to the jets. this is usually a problem caused by air being drawn into the suction of the pump.
take a look at the jet(s) facing the suction cover.
I have seen cases where the water with the air mixed in causing bubbles gets sucked into the suction of the tub and causes the surging because the pump is pulling in too much air.
try rotating the nozzle of the jet facing the suction away from it. point it another way. turn the air control knob closed and see if that is the problem.
the only other issue that could cause this 'surging' problem is a leak in the suction line and could be the source of the water you see under the tub.

My new jacuzzi 6 jet tub is only working on one side. What could cause that?

Probably control panel or if there are separate pumps for each side, that side's pump probably doesn't have a relay working with bad switch from the control panel.

Leaking jacuzzi jet

The workings of a bath jet...From the inside of the Bath there is a wall fitting that threads from the inside of the tub into the jet body located on the outside wall of the tub.
If the jet is leaking at this point behind the tub then you should take the wall fitting out of the tub and put a small bead of 100% RTV silicone around the flange of the wall fitting and reinstall it.
If however, the leak is from the PVC piping going into the jet then you will need to replace the jet.

if you have a water stain on the ceiling below your tub then you have a water leak. There is no easy solution for this. You must get to the underside of the tub in order to watch the jets when the tub is full of water to isolate the leak and then have it repaired by a plumber.

Our jacuzzi is almost regular tub and has tow metal buttons, one on the top/edge and the other near jet mouse at the middle level of bath tub. We have not used our jacuzzi for 10 months. Even we only use...

The metal button on the top of the tub is used to turn the tub on/off. the metal button you see in the middle of the tub above one of the jets is the low water sensor.
the water has to be above that metal tab, you have to be in the tub and then touch the metal button on the top of the tub to turn it on.
this system uses the electrical current from our bodies to complete the circuitry and turn it all on and off.

Jacuzzi whirlpool hot tub, flashes Fl-1 has new filters,

Sounds like a bad heating element. This is located in a stainless steel tube under or around the main control box behind the cover around the tub. It is not hard to replace but should be done by a pro. The part is avaliable online.

I know I can take a bath without turning on the jets. However; does the bath water with soap flow back into the jets? I like bubble baths, If I leave the jets off can I use the bubble bath without having...

The soapy water will fill all of the jets, tubes and the pump assembly. Will it hurt the tub if the jets are not running? The soap film will build up in the jets, tubes and pump assembly and can possibly cause damage if the tub is run at a later date. Contact the tub manufacture and see if there is a safe bubble bath you can use.
