I have a Casio CE-6100 cash register. Whenever I try to finalise a transaction with the "Cash" button i get a long beep and nothing happens. If i use the cheque or credit card buttons instead everything works ok and the draw pops open as it should. Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

You may have changed the key feature settings for CASH accidentally. Try this:
Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it - you may have to sign a clerk on

Casio te-2400 cash register- making transactions

Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.
Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open

Its a casio ce 6100 cash register ad the memory seems to have gone, now when i press the clerk key E011 appears on the screen

You have to close the cash drawer to make a sale. E11 means drawer open while sale in progress. If that doesn't fix it, check the wiring to the drawer, especially the brown wire. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Casio 240 Cash Register: Error 01

The reason it went into error is due to someone turning the key to another mode without finishing the current transaction. Turn the key to each mode until you find the mode that doesn't give error 1. If that mode is X or Z, then press SUBTOTAL. If that mode is REG, then press SUBTOTAL to see the amount due, then type that amount and press CASH
