I need to get a replacement bracket to attach the hitchhiker to my bike seat. Where can I order this? Do you know the price?

Recumbent bike seats adjust forward and backward along a track, if the adjustment does not lock into place it could be that the pin is just not lining up with the seat adjustment bracket. Or that it needs replaced.

Now if you have an upright bike, there is a bracket right under the seat that hugs the seat post. You need to tighten the bolt on that bracket and it should fix the problem.

In some cases the thread on that bolt could be worn out, you will need to replace the bolt, buy a new seat bracket or just get yourself a new seat.

Your seat is usually bolted to the floor of the vehicle. If you remove the bolts and unplug any electrical connectors you should be able to remove the seat. You will need to fabricate brackets that attach to the vehicle as the original seats did and then the brackets will need to attach to your new seat.

Go to your local bike shop with your seat post, they come in all different sizes, so you need to bring it with you.

Remove the seat.
On the lefthand side of the bike is a small bracket that holds the battery into place.
Looking directly at the battery compartment you will find a small nut attached to the bracket.
Remove this then remove the bracket.
Carefully take of any chrome covers and store them somewhere safe.
Next ease the battery forward and remove the two bolts attaching the battery to the bike.
Finally lift it out carefully as not to damage the bike.

i used the extra brackets my disc brake mdl came with and fitted it to the bike seat clamp instead of the frame..

Mine came up solid as a rock! no issues.

There will be bolts in a clamp that hold it on to the seatpost of the adult's bike. Loosen or remove these bolts to take it off and reinstall it on the new bike using the same step in reverse.

it's kinda tricky to put the bracket on, but it should have come with a weird bracket that kinda looks like a brake caliper, the bracket goes around the back of your frame, as opposed to attaching to the wheel pin like the inStep trailers...if you don't have the bracket, i dont know what you can do

There is virtually no chance that a seat from another motorcycle manufacture will fit your bike. If you need a replacement seat check ebay for a good used one. If you only need a replacement cover, check some only aftermarket parts companies like "Dennis Kirk" or stop by your local aftermarket bike parts store. You could also have a local upolstry shop make and install a new cover for you. They should also be able to restor the foam padding if necessary as well.
