I have just changed the HP78 colour print cartridge and the printer is now printing PINK instead of RED, a MAUVE instead of DARK BLUE, LIGHT BLUE instead of GREEN and not printing YELLOW at all. I have tried doing a Clean of the Print cartridge as well as a PRIME of the print cartridge but the results are the same.

If is an original brand? Some generic cartridges or refill ones gave that problem.

if you have refilled the cartridge, then it shows that cartridges are not refilled in correct order.

We had the exact same problem when printing, we used 3 different 78 colour ink cartages and they all said 100% full but did not work. We then had a look at the dates on the box and they were all expired so when buying ink from anywhere even PC world or Curry’s always look at the expiry date.
Today I went to PC world and purchased a new 78 ink which said expires July 2011 and it works perfectly fine.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.
