Where can I find a hardware installer for my Xda Atom Exec Phone? Because I can't upload a video and I don't have the software for it.

Welcome to FixYa.

Download and install the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) from this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=83D513EA-9DF9-4920-AF33-3A0E2E4E7BEB&displaylang=en#Instructions

This will enable your O2 XDA Exec to link with the PC.
Note that your PC will go through a Microsoft Validation Process before proceeding with the download. SO make sure that your Windows Operating System is Genuine.

Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a great day.

My Phone does not switch on.

Perform a hard-reset.

At the expense of your data-loss,
atleast you get your device working back.

To perform a hard-reset on your O2 Xda Atom,
Keep pressed the POWER key, and then perform soft reset. After the device this leave everything and confirm that you want to hard-reset as shown on the screen.

O2 Xda Atom Exec cell shut down; can not turn back on. one time black screen white letters came on, last read said looking for usb port to down load?

The Black screen that you are talking about is the bootloader of your PPC. Its just like the BIOS of your Computer.

There might be some problem with the Operating system of your O2 Atom Exec.
Try a hard reset by holding the Power Key and then soft reseting.
I know that you will lose your data, but you may get your PPC working back.

O2 xda exec

This is the suggestion they provide on O2 website for such problems:
  • Perform a soft reset (PDA phone) or re-boot the device (Smartphone) and test again.
  • Perform a hard reset (PDA phone) or return to default settings (Smartphone) and test again. (read below before dong this)
  • Check that the application still fails to execute after you upgraded the ROM (OS) to the latest revision. If you haven't upgraded your ROM (OS) do so now and check again.
But before doing the hard reset, I suggest you try installing other camera software for windows mobile 5 and check if the camera still working (not a hardware problem). If its still fail, try the hard reset after backing up all you data.
