13.20.00 JAM INSIDE <LOCATION>

Paper has not moved past a certain paper
sensor. <LOCATION> can be one of the
following locations.

? TRAY 2
Remove the tray, and then check the
paper path for obstructions. Perform a
manual sensor test and observe the prefeed
sensor (PS102) status (B). Toggle
the sensor flag to determine if the status
changes.
? TOP COVER
Remove the print cartridge, and then
check the paper path for obstructions.
Verify that the top-of-page sensor
(PS103) and the media width sensors
(PS106 and PS108) are unblocked.
Perform a manual sensor test and
observe the status of these sensors.
Toggle the sensor flags to determine if
their status changes.
? REAR DOOR
Open or remove the rear face-up bin,
and then check the paper path on each
side of the fusing assembly for
obstructions. Remove the fuser, if
necessary. Perform a manual sensor
test and observe the fuser delivery
sensor (PS700) status (C). Toggle the
sensor flag to determine if the status
changes.
? DUPLEXER (only printers with duplex)
Remove the duplexer, and then check
the paper path for obstructions. If the
message persists, replace the duplexer.

SOURCE: After a paper jam the screen just says, "an error has occurred. Please see your manual" - which doesn't help. Having cleared the paper path and switched off and on, and restarted the computer there

i fix a lot of those, not an easy solution. you might have a piece of paper stuck somewhere that you cant see, or the carraige assembly is not moving properly. if you still cant come up with anything, you will need to send it to a service center.

Canon IR 2016j, paper jams on every copy. How do i fix it?

Dear Abdullah
pl. check the machine base where it stay, it should be plain and firm.
Next check the left side door(test it by pushing inside while making copy). check the fixing assembly and paper path, may be toner clogged on its surface.
If your machine covered more than 200000 A4 copies, check the paper path (guide) at registration sensor and delivery guide at fixing unit.
If the paper jam at paper pickup tray, replace the pickup roller set (2nos.)

Since you have not mentioned the page counter and where paper jam occurs, its difficult to assume more.

thanks.

Printer paper jammed?

The easiest way to remove jammed paper from a printer is to turn the printer off, open the printer and SLOWLY pull the paper out. After this, be sure you check ALL the paper paths for jamming or small pieces of paper. If a small piece of paper remains in the paper path, every time you try to print, the page will get pushed to one side... and the printoutr will be misaligned.
