Functional problem sc 390 on ricoh photocopier, despite replacing drum, developer,blade,gears. after removing 9 copies it reads functional problem.

Question edited tor a lot more clarity and add MAKER, but NO MODEL NUMBER! All questions need full make and model.

that is a charge roller leak error. try a different photo conductor see if it goes away. If so could be charge roller bad or drum . if it has more then 60,000 copies on it rebuild it .

when you replaced the developer, did you clean the "mag roll" of baked on toner? Very common problem on this model. Of course you initialized the SP mode 2-801, and 2-805 right? -Carl

SC 390 is a TD sensor code try changing developer (Type 24) B0649645 if not that then maybe the TD sensor pn#B2475310,

SC 395 Development output abnorma.
Remove the development unit and clean the gears.If necessary change the developer.Remove the OPC imaging unit and clean the cleaning blade.

Sounds like a bad photoconductor unit (PCU), or problem with the transfer roller which is mouned inside the right side door. The PCU consists of 2 main sections; the development unit, with developer ang mag roll (on the bottom) and drum, with charge roller and cleaning blade (on the top). If the gears that turn the mag roll go bad, toner will not be applied to the charged drum. If the transfer roller is missing or not being charged the image will not be transferred to the paper. Check the connector from the copier to the right side door and the leaf springs that carry the charge from that wire and contact the transfer roller.

The possible cause for your problem, developer out of date replace it.

This SC means that the main motor can not run...:)
but the real problem is that in photo conductor unit (in development section ) you will find five (5) broken gears that have to be replaced. Please if you decide to change the gears, mark that i suggest you to replace whole LOWER DEVELOPMENT UNIT.
Clean the machine inside and then everything will be alright for many thousand copies
The job must be done from qualified technician.
