I have not received a reply from you. I sent you an e-mail regarding a problem I have with my turntable. The turntable came with an Aiwa stereo system that I bought in 1998 or 1999. The stereo system is an Aiwa, model no. Z-R555. The Aiwa turntable Model no. is Px-E855. As I have previously mentioned the 33 and 1/3 speed on the turntable drags, the speed is alot lower than 33 and 1/3.

In reply to your e-mail, my turntable has no adjustment controller or pitch adjust/adj. or Pitch adjust.

It is an Aiwa stereo system, bought in 1998 or 1999, model No. Z-R555, the turntable is model No.

PX-E855. As mentioned previously, the 33 and1/3 speed on the turntable drags quite a lot. It runs maybe a 20 or 25. Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks

Hello
If the turn table doesn't have a pitch control (increases and decreases speed of rotation slightly) know to adjust the speed then all you can do is replace the turntable, the motor is failing.

Hello Rosie,

Some turntables have a pitch adjustment feature which allows you to speed up or slow down your records. The adjustment controller is usually a slider or a wheel somewhere on the turntable and is usually labelled "Pitch" "Adjust / Adj" or "Pitch Adj".

Please check for this feature on your turntable then get back to me if you are unable to find it. Please include the brand and model number of your turntable.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Grundig 4400 / Audio Techinca T4P Turntable spins at 35 RPM instead of 33 RPM

I think you mean 45 rpm?
It sounds like you have got the belt in the wrong position. Try adjusting the position of the belt by experiment. Or you could look up the correct way to set up the belt.

Even though i am playing my record on normal speed, it plays to fast

if your turntable doesn't have a pitch control (like the dj's turntables) if you open it you should find on the board close from the 45-33 rpm switch a variable resistor ( a small electronic part with a sort of disc on top with in the middle of it a place for a flat screw driver and marking like + and - those resistor are made to control the speed and can go bad or just need to be adjusted . First try to adjust it turning the dial really carefully with a small screw driver if nothing happened it could need to be replace.

How to adjust AIWA Turntable PX-E860U speed

Found this post trying to troubleshoot my Aiwa PX-E860U-after replacing the belt and lubricating bearings, the speed was off. 33 setting was playing slow. Here's the fix:
1. unplug and flip upside down
2. Locate the two holes marked 33 & 45 where black dots are visible underneath
3. Using a very small flat screwdriver(I used one from an eyeglass repair kit), adjust the speed clockwise for faster, counterclockwise for slower

this is a DIY solution, so not perfect, but it works. I played the tracks along to a Spotify recording to get a good match. Hope this helps someone else!

Plays too fast

Either the speed switch is history or there is a belt problem. Get rid of it.

Which thickness setting should I use when playing my 33 rpm records on my Denon DP 297 fully automatic turntable? 17 or 30?

hi,
There are only two types of records available like 17 and 30. the size 30 will be as same as the turn table plater's size. 17 will be in half sized of the 30.

AFTER adjusting the speed setting to 33, all the records are playing too fast, they sound like chipmunks. I tried all three settings and while each speed is different from each other they all seem to be...

If it says your speed setting in on 33, than you have a problem with the speed control inside of the turntable, there is not much you can do in that area. 33 is the slowest speed too, so it seems like it is stuck on 45 or 78. Call Teac if you are still under warranty.

My Teac sl-a100 record player sounds like a chipmunk

hi,
somewhere on that player is a switch for 78-45-33 rpm the speed switch look up around by the tone arm above by where the record goes, it may not be on the front. switch it to the correct record you have 45's are small. 78's are medium and 33rpms are the big records..
