Hi - You can download the manual by clicking the link underlined in blue below:

Photosmart M415

See page 166:

unsupported card - 53d52ee.jpg

Also try formatting the card in the camera as cards that have been used in other cameras or formatted on a PC may not work correctly until formatted in the camera.

Make sure you're using an SD card, 2GB or smaller. The 435 will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

I bought a 4gb memory (Sony) card. I t shows unsupported when turned on , is it compatable?

The M415 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card and won't work with the camera. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Good big picture and it doesn't matter that it has Canon written on the SD card in the picture the SD card is interchangeable between the two makes.

Now one other thing that may also be the problem is that the SD card needs to be formatted to the camera. Formatting should be done on new memory cards and after you have downloaded pictures to the computer. That's format not delete, delete leaves a mess on the card Formatting cleans the card and provides proper communications between the camera and the memory card

When I copy my files from my USB stick to my SD memory card and put the memory card into my camera to print the pictures, or if I want to review the pictures on my camera, it says "UNSUPPORTED FILE...

Once you use a computer to write to a memory card, it no longer works properly in a camera because of the different operating system. The only way for the card to work again is to format it in the camera. This erases and optimizes it for the camera.

I cant get the pictures to show from the sd memory card to show in the camera

A bit more information might be helpful. Is your problem that you cannot view the pictures on your SD memory card while the card is installed in your camera? If this is the case you might make sure the card is properly installed. Sometimes if the card is not fully engaged in the memory slot the camera will not register it. Try removing the card and reinstalling it.
