We are having a client server application running behind sonicwall tz170. We have the server in the other office. Both the offices are connected thru 2Mbps MAN. A client PC has to run the application exe file to connect to the server. After working on the application for some time, the user gets a error ('Communicaiton link failure') and the application needs to be restarted and the work gets lost. we have created access rules for the users with all the services on and we have set the TCP connection timeout to 180 mins.
Please help

There are many reasons for your problem, make sure you have the Computer and Register PC are in the switch section of the Sonicwall - not in the WAN port. The router should allow traffic to flow by default. Check the Operating system and turn off any firewalls, the router will take care of that.

If your camera is connected to DVR then do the port redirection on your firewall so that you shall view the cameras from internet, If your camera is directly connected to network using RJ45 simply do the port redirection to IP address of CCTV camera.
