Ive had my zappin w202 MP3 player for about 2 years now and ive had no troubles with it at all, until last Wednesday, when my PC stopped recognizing it(unknown device) and i dont know why. So all i get now is a constant pop up of a warning that is not been recognized and its driving me up the wall.

i had the same problem, after trying everything i and helping friends could think of, i just wiped my entire pc reformat n started from scratch, once i did that, before installing anything at all, i plugged her in and she workd straight away and has continued to work. HAPPY DAYS

I would try another computer if that did not work the unit is what we called bricked, now you could go to sony.com and see if they can help you to try to get thing back in order please do try my solution first if it does not work the unit is defective.

On the back of the unit, there should be a small reset button. Pushing and holding that button for about 5 - 10 seconds should reset the unit.
If that doesn't work, you may want to read WarMaiden.org's solution to getting the computer to recognize the Walkman...it may work for you.
