Good day, I own a JVC Hard Disk Camcoder Model No. GZ-HD7E, S/N. 12253242 and a PC, on which the JVC Digical Photo Navigator is installed. My problem is, that I have so far not been able to Backup my video files on my computer. I can display the photos and Videos on my computer, but cannot backup my videofiles on any of my PC Hard Drives. Any help will be much apreciated. One more question: Is the CU-VD40U Share Station Burner compatible with my Camcoder? Thanks in advance Rolf

SOURCE: How to transfer videos on JVC Everio GZ-MG21U camcorder to DVD

YES!!! I GOT IT!!! Ok so the comp doesn't recognize the damn camera. I went around the problem!!! OOO so excited!!! Ok sooo simple, you'll slap yourself! Ok. First plug in your USB cord to the comp and you'll see the options play on pc, pc connection, etc. Select CREATE DVD! (You won't be able to see or select any of the files you are going to import, oh well.) You should see the regular screen pop up that says import, create, view pictures. Click IMPORT PICTURES. It will automatically import both pictures and video. For file name write something you can easily locate, ex: AAAAAAAAAAAAAA (you can change it later) Then open MOVIE MAKER. Click on IMPORT on the upper left hand corner and you'll see their demo video listed. Click on picture and video files on the bottom right hand corner and select ALL FILES. You should see what was downloaded!!! YAY!! I haven't burn a DVD yet but the files are there and the program should do it from there!

SOURCE: can't burn from jvc everio hard disk cam to the share station

The Everio only accepts DVD-R discs, and the cheaper, the better. I burned a lot of coasters for my cats to chase when I tried using the 'name brand' discs. I buy cheap off-brand discs and have no problems.

Power off your camcorder, take the memory card or hard drive out of your cam, and connect it to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Then install this software Wondershare Photo Recovery (recover videos and audio files too) on your computer. Then start to scan and see if your deleted files can be got back. Get the program from:

For Windows Version
For Mac version

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your camcoder(card or disk) until you can recover your files safely! Good luck!

How can I recover a file from a JVC Everio GZ-MG37U

First things first: DO NOT take any more videos or pictures with the camcorder(memory card) that you want to recover files from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances.
