My machine has recently had its main circuit board replaced at substantial cost yet 3 months later it has stopped working again! Last night simply stopped on the spin. The power light is still coming on and so do the lights under each different cycle, however when I press the start button nothing happens?????? Can somebody please help?

Hi John, thank you for your reply.

I check the pump and that was clear as I do this fairly regularly - the problem stems from not being able to start the machine. It simply will not do anything when I hit the start button even though when I select a wash type the light comes on underneath that particular cycle?

    Cheers,

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If these are the same symptoms as previous get the service person back in- I would expect there to be some sort of warantee/guarantee?

Otherwise (sorry, no promises)- I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

I have a Samsung Plasma PN64E8000GFXZA that won't turn off without unplugging. Usually happens at night every 3 or 4 days. Also turns off and on by itself at random times while watching a show.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board.

LG Dishwasher LD-1420T1 Tripping the main Power Board

Looks like the pump motor is drawing lot of current and tripping the circuit breaker. Need to check if there is any water inside it. Or simply the capacitor is leaky and causes motor to draw current.

When it gets to a Rinse cycle position on the dial it simply stops. If you push the Start button then it continues with the Rinse. We replaced the circuit board about 8 months ago for another problem.

check the circuit board again front and back look for burns ---should also replace the door lock assembly it is the cause for most machine control board failures

Clicking from Condenser

I would have to say it's your fan going out, also if the units aren't fixed the the DD should come out and fix it for free since it wasn't done the first time. I would take a look at it but I don't know where in florida you are. I'm in highlands county. If your close enough I could come take a look. If there's clicking coming from your condenser then it's one of two things, the compressor or the fan. hopefully the fan. let me know.

Maytag neptune dryer won't start

Just a quick question before I look at the control board myself. What are the values/ratings for the capacitor and resistor (ex. farads for cap, ohms for resistor, and volts/amps for both)? Or give me the Vender Part Number so I can look this information up. Thanks!
