Nikon 440 not recording image on card

Have situations lately taking photos that are NOT recorded on the memory card; not 1 of 2 photo's; but 10 or 12 in a row. Any ideas? Camera has taken approx 50,000 shots.

Hi, I once had this problem.  But wasnt this serious. I lost only few shots.
Try replacing with new SD card.
It worked for me atleast :)
