I turned on HP EliteBook 2530p and lights up but screen does not come on. Please help d

Spywares or virus has affected registry and keyboard input program BIOS.....
Open the administrator and create a new user account with the help of on-screen-keyboard.
make sure tht the computer is malware free.....
Install good antivirus and antimalware software with recent updates.

Not working...means zero in troubleshooting. What keyboard, obviously what os-> that's where your problem is. NOT the keyboard. NOT the laptop.

What version of Windows are you using? You can open an on-screen keyboard and use the mouse to type in the password.

The 666 in the part number indicates a 666 MHz memory stick. In the spec of the HP 2530 P, it needs DDR2 800 Mhz memory. Possible that the memory is not compatible.

one possible cause would be the hardware problem, better to send it to the technical person inorder to prevent further damage of your laptop. Just a suggestion thanks.

had the same problem - press and hold th power button without the battery connected for 30sec

refit battery and try again - it worked for me

The HP2530p buttons are "touch sensitive" and are located at the along the strip that the power switch is, touch the orange light and it will change to blue (on) this is the same for the volume screen etc, blue is on, orange is off, Just touch and play

are you switching off, or just closing the lid? On most laptops, closing the lid just hibernates and constantly uses power, it can be changed in the control panel power options.
