How do I clean toner from machine?

Probably it's the jammed paper that might caused the error. I suggest have it serviced by the technician. Be aware of the paper handling capacity of your machine to minimize jamming:

3300MFPV_X
Phaser 3300MFPV/X, Copy/Print/Colour Scan/Fax, B&W, 28 ppm, A4, 1200 dpi, 50-sheet ADF, 250-sheet Paper Tray, 50-sheet Multipurpose tray, 150-sheet Output Tray, 96 MB, Automatic 2-sided printing, USB/Ethernet, PCL/PS3, Scanning software, 220 V

My printer just stopped printing black colour. I printed heaps before going away for 1 week, then on return it just wouldnt print. Any ideas??

Is it empty and needing replaced. If not run a couple printer head clean cycles from the printer software to clean out any dried up in from being away for a week. Some cartridges also have expiration dates and the printer may not print once you are past the expiration date. Does it print anything at all, or feed the paper and not drop in on it?

Canon mx700 error code 5100 - printhead seems to be jammed to the right following power cut - nothing to do with computer. Have switched machine off and unplugged it from mains, but will still not work...

Hi You can Try 2 things.

ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there

Next try.

It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

How do I unjam paper in HL 2142

You open your printer (use your manual to correctly do this)

check all paper paths to see if any paper is stuck

Next take out the toner and drum and check again for any stray scraps of paper that may have been stuck there.

Also open the paper tray and look inside there to see if anything is stuck there.

If your printer has a single sheet tray check there too

If your printer has a back opening, check there too

I recomend that you also purchase "paper path cleaning sheets" to keep the unit clean and paper jam free (once a week if you print constantly and twice a month if a casual user)

NEVER NEVER NEVER get mad and RIP out stuck paper. Such an action will break internal mechanisms inside your laser printer.

Hope this helps Have a great day

clean the rubber rollers of the printer and try to print. if it is still having the same problem. reset the printer by unplugging the power cord of the printer while its turn on. then plug the power cord back in. once the printer is on press and hold the power/on button and the size button. when the on button is flashing then release the buttons and try to print again

Paper Feed

I had what sounds like the same problem. I had been using my printer earlier and then it started pulling the paper to one side (same side as yours). After trying the basic stuff ...I turned the printer upside down ...and out fell an almond. How it got in there I don't know..(I think my neighbours' little girl was eating them and must have dropped it in when she was visiting. ) I'm not sure if there was more to the problem than this ..and that seems almost too simple, but after the almond was out the printer started working just like before. I don't know if your problem might be similar but I hope maybe this can help.
