I cant access live cams from sites such as cam4 and justcams.tv unlike i used to 4 weeks ago from this same laptop

Could be the contacts are shorting out. Dust, Grime, and Moisture can cause these problems. If after you attempt to clean out the keypad, it still is intermit, the keypad needs replacing.

It should have come with a program called Lenovo EasyCamera that will allow you to use it.

i think you can install a splitcamera on ur pc so its just easy to used ur camera and u can used it one or more together unlike when u dont have split camera u can used it only one for example the yahoo messenger so u cant open it anymre ur cam to msn other sites who used cam..i hope this answer can help u get idea..

in this case the problem is with the msn...try to reinstall the windows live messenger ...there are available new updates on windows site ...just google for windows live messenger ..and it will gave you solutions for download
so ..reinstall cause it it was the camera..it should just not work ...but you should be able to see other people web cams..

u need a public ip with an open port, and portforward the port with the ip of ur dvr

I had the same issue when i installed new Messanger 2009. I found another thread that states that it is Macfee site advisore is the problem go toprogramm files / macfee / site advisor. in that folder look for the file sasets.ini....

right click on the file and open with notepad scroll down to see the following and change the (1) to 0



[msnmsgr.exe]
Enabled=0 ........... change the 1 in this line to a 0
Type1=0
Type2=0
NotifyChange1=0
NotifyChange2=275
EnumID=7



then save restart it shoild work
..

This is a common propblem. There is a fix. Google Acer web cam problems and read some of the forums. They give several links to fix the problem, you may have to try several before finding the right one. Don't worry if it says the driver is for a different model, I had 5000 series here at my shop a few weeks ago and the 9300 model driver fixed the problem.
