Have simple 3116. bought yesterday and today the foot fell off and i dont know how to put it back on!! help, please...

It looks like your power cord and foot pedal are incorporated into one unit, and you'll have to replace the foot pedal to get it. Past time to "Take'ER'BACK" were you bought it.If you already checked out all the simple solutions like"plugged all the way in" I'd take it back.Sorry,wish I could tell you more.

It is the top threading that is giving you the problem not the bobbin thread. Try this, totally rethread, the machine. A new needle will not hurt either. Now with the presser foot up, pull on the top thread, it should feed smoothly, now lower the presser foot, pull the thread again, it should barely move. This usually will seat the thread in the tension discs.

Take your bobbin case out and clean area with a brush, make sure that all of the needle is out of that area. Your manual will show you how to replace the needle. If, you cannot find your manual go to www.singerco.com and under the customer support tab, click instruction manual, and enter 3116. You can download your manual for free and then you can enlarge the diagrams to see your bobbin case area. Good luck, any more questions, write back

janome machine feet should fit

Open the bobbin case door and there should be a lever sitting off to the right. It moves from left to right. For the feed dogs to be in the up position the lever should be to the left.
