SOURCE: Maytag washer

This is similar to a problem I had after my power suddenly went out while the washer was filling with water. When the power resumed the washer would no longer run water... all other systems (agitate, drain, spin) worked fine.

A 10 minute, $113 dollar service call revealed that there was a fuse inside the front upper left area that had blown. Remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel to get access to the inside.

Check it out and replace it if necessary.

Your door lid has a switch that makes these functions work.First open the lid and look at the right side of it.Does it have a arm on it?If it does follow the direction where it is going to hit and now listn closely while your lifting the door up & down at this contact  can you hear it click? If its not clicking  or the arm is broken  off the lid replace  the lid switch/or the broken lid switch arm.

SOURCE: Maytag PAV2300AWW Washer leaks while filling

Hello
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

Why did you change the hoses with old ones?
If you are going to change them use new ones!

Sounds like the drain hose connection to the washer is not tight or not secured, or not fitting th connection because it is from a different washing machine.
Or there is a hole in the inner tub and leaking out on the floor.

Do you know the ones that sold it to you?

SOURCE: maytag neptne fav 6800 aww does not fill wiht hot water. works fi

Hi Big Wags

I would remove both water hoses at the back of the washer and check the Hot & Cold inlet screens for a clog/restriction.

They look like this;

16bd3b6.jpg

You can turn the individual valves on in service mode using the procedure on page 16 of the Service Manual.

To enter Service Mode; press and hold simultaneously the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or until the control beeps and the display reads “00”.

Now go into board output test by pressing the Delicates key.

Now press the Normal button to open the Hot Water Valve you can press the Normal button again to turn off the valve or just press the Off button to end the process. Or just use the wash cycle to toggle the H/C water valves on. I like folks to become familiar with using Service Mode and the SM.

If the inlet screens are free of debris and you have good water pressure from your source valve then you may have to replace the valve assembly Here is a link to check for FAV6800AW PARTS Sears Parts Direct. Shout back If you have questions. Rich

Water in the drum between washes

On top of the washer is where you ad the soap usually. When you are NOT running the washer, open the lid to the soap dispenser and see if you see any water trickling through it. If that is the case, you need to replace the water fill valve that the hoses are attached too.

Ive got a maytag neptune model# MAH8700AWW front load washer that water keeps dripping into the soap dispenser and filling up the tub over night about 1 to 2 gal of water and ive been looking for a repair...

Would be the Inlet solenoid (this is effectively the valve that allows water to come in - that the inlet hose screws on to, and has a couple of wires going to it on the inside).
Replace carefully, with the power shut off, or simply turn the tap off when not in use :-)

Error code ''suds'' on maytag front loading washer

Press Chime and Extra rinse keys for three seconds or until the control beeps. You are now in service mode and your machine should say a new error code. Depending on what that code is, you might be able to reset your machine by unplugging it, and replugging it in. if your codes are now clear, try running machine on spin only or rinse cycle. DO NOT add more soap!!! If this corrects your problem, try running a load with out soap. You may have a lot of extra soap in your machine.

I am in the middle of a load of laundry and it has stopped and the error code reads "suds". I am unable to get the machine to work again. How do I fix this?

When the door finally unlocks run bleach and hot water through a load and then use only 2 Tablespoons of HE detergent. No matter what. You are either using too much soap or your not using HE detergent.

MAH8700A Error code 2E What does this mean?

According to the trouble shooting manual that came with my Maytag MAH8700A, code 2E refers to "Voltage for motor control bus is under specified limit." It states that the action to be taken is to "replace motor control board."

My Maytag front loading washer does not fully rinse cloths MAH8700A. I purchased this washer about 6 months ago. I usually wash small loads but have noticed it doesnt matter what size load. When first...

Is the drain path free-flowing? That is, does the water eject freely during spin/rinse? Maybe there's a restriction in the line, or it's too high above the washer.
